R18 dvd shop HAS IT GONE

Tried today and yesterday says that site is down for maintenance is this because of the problems with nochex i hope not.

Evening all! Well the site is actually down due to the NoChex thing coming a little earlier than expected which meant a hell of a lot of scrambling around and having to do things earlier than planned BUT we are now in a position to process our own cards and are NOT using NoChex any longer (woooooo!!) and, after 36 hours of hard work, pain and no sleep, everything should be back online in the next 60 minutes or so!

Net result of not using NoChex is no more stupid bloody limits on how much you can spend and we can now take non UK cards!

Its up and running - have tested it as much as I can, am confident that the security side of things is sorted and that the encryption etc for credit cards is working. Having some other little niggly problems with image thumbnailing but I think I have fixed the affiliate problem soooooooo Im going to bed for a few hours anyway then will have another go at it in the morming before heading off to Birmingham for the ETO show.

We are not using any third party processors now so to the person who reported us to NoChex you dont have any chance of dropping us in it this time but nice try - we are using our own merchant account and are processing the cards ourselves hence the delay in getting back online while we had to set up encryption and secure servers.

Glad to see you have overcome the problems caused by some low life reporting you to Nochex.
I suspect it was a competitor jealous of the success of your enterprise,
don't let them get you down mate, you have many more friends than enemies.
