Documentary Series

Hi

I'm working on a documentary for Channel 4 about people who have fallen out with their family because of their job or lifestyle.

I?d be really interested in talking to somebody who works in the sex industry who's interested in being featured in the series. I?m looking for someone who disagrees with their family about their job to the extent that it has caused a rift.

The show will be a serious, even handed documentary that will give all sides of the argument the chance to have their say it also hopes to perhaps reconcile people who might otherwise never see eye to eye again.

Do you know a family that has fallen out?

i don't suppose that people want to watch a series where people acutally get along!! It doesn't make good viewing figures and is not controversial in any way, shame.

Ah, makes me smile as yet again another docu maker with a totally fresh, seriously interesting, even handed & balanced chance for members of the porn industry to be held up to public ridicule & scorn!

Sorry for being so cynical but maybe the Mods could start charging Ch4/5 commision fees due to the ammount of docu makers touting for punters on here lol.

Hi Caroline, I,d be really interested to know how, and why, you chose this particular forum to post your comments, who told you about it?, or were you just surfing the net and stumbled accross it, I,m curious because a lot of Doc Makers post similar questions, and I always facinated why they choose this forum, and more to the point -how they find it.
Anyway good luck with your search..

Let me guess, you're a small independent production company working on a limited budget, so you won't actually be able to pay the participants, but it will be 'good exposure' for those taking part?

hi

To answer some of your points:

I just found it.

Documentaries are seldom able to pay contributors, there are quite a few ethical issues with that so as a general rule nobody is ever paid.

RDF make programmes like - Faking it, Wife Swap, Scrapheap Challenge and Perfect Match. They are one of the country's biggest production companies.

It's not Trisha, we are working with a specialist mediator whose daily job is helping people out of these situations. It's a documentary about him and his work. We are looking for stories to follow, and are talking to people with varying types of family feud.
