What a moral dilema! Is it ethically wrong to pay someone to take a health risk, that they are perfectly at liberty to take in their private life? Maybe it is, or maybe it isn't, but I've no doubt the amount of money you make from the deal will have a huge bearing on how much sympathy you are shown in any court hearing.
On the face of it, it sounds like the usual US litigation farce that we all find so amusing this side of the Atlantic, but maybe we should not feel so safe?
Major changes in the security industry (my other line of business) over here means that it's now illegal to recruit security personnel to work on a self employed basis unless they are currently self employed in some other field and will continue that alongside security work, which only really applies to nightclub doormen.
-Sounds like a load of bollocks, but it's to stop employers taking advantage of workers by not paying holiday/sick pay, national insurance etc, AND, more importantly, making employers more liable and accountable for risks taken by people they employ.

please read paragraph
3.7.8 of the faq.
it helps to prevent people from making posts on the same subject (in this instance, someone posted the same link as yourself).

Luckily, we Brits are so terrified of discussing sex in public, the subject will never be brought up for discussion. See how quickly the HIV scare has disappeared from the front page of this forum. In America, they would have been going hysterical by now.

It'a a wonder that "good ole Gordy" hasn't thought it up as a way of extracting more cash from our pockets.
Mind you, enforcement would be problematic lol. Imagine the HSE running all over your set checking for correct & proper use of the mandated personal protective equipment, look out for that kite mark!!!!!

One thing that is relevant in the UK is that any person knowing they possibly have HIV have a legal obligation to explicitly warn any sexual partners and then take appropriate precautions. Should they pass on the virus without doing so then they become criminally liable. There have been two such cases recently where convictions for grevious bodily harm resulting in long prison sentences have been secured, although unfortunately this still provides little comfort to the victim they infected.
