How many are going to stop in the wake of the fact that the industry has proven to be totally unsafe.

I don't think the industry is "totally unsafe". Anyone with half a brain has always known the risk. Personally I think that providing you set yourself limits as to what you will and won't do and STICK TO THEM, the risk is mimimized. I won't do anal, EVER, even if it means losing out on jobs.

I think there is much greater risk of infection when young people go to clubs, drink too much and end up having (usually) unprotected sex with whoever they have picked up for the night. And this can apply to girls in the industry too. I once witnessed a young model get so drunk she didn't know what she was doing and several guys were taking advantage of her there and then, in front of everybody in a nightclub - not a condom in sight. For all I know this same girl may have had a shoot a couple of days later and no doubt she could produce the required certificate .............

What you say is honest and it's important. If a girl has no other way of getting a reasonable amount of money, she might be persuaded to do things that she doesn't really want to do. It might be greed, or it might be that she has rent to pay and food to buy. Let's not pretend that it's all voluntary, and that all the models love gangbangs and multiple penetrations and a whole lot of other things. Some might, I'm sure, but lots of other probably don't.

The industry is not totally unsafe. Yes there is a risk involved but, similarly, there is also a significant risk that next time in get in my car I will get in a fatal road accident. That risk doesn't stop me driving.

Everything in life involves some risk. One must do what one can to minimise the risk and to act responsibly.

With adequate and verifiable testing i hope we can all get back to work soon.
