Been looking around for a while to find the best package to view spice platinum. Seen a few different dishs that can receive it but they range in price from ?160 to ?480. Just wondered if someone could suggest the best system to get. Only complet package i could find was here http://www.sateuropa.co.uk/information/spiceplatinum/ but they seem to have taken their complet system down. Thanks for any help and before someone says it yes I did search the forum but couldn't find the info I was after.

Best bet is to buy a STB with embedded Viaccess encryption, look on google for a company called Myers Sat, you'll get a box for around ?210. You will need a 85cm dish with a monoblock LNB to receive both 13*E and 19*E. You will also need a card which is around ?129.

All in all it will cost you about ?500-550 fully installed. (STB, Dish, LNB, Card)

According to Sat Europa's website it is now in dual encryption, Irdeto and Viaccess, long overdue.

Sat Europa are the official UK distributors but they are more for trade customers than one card here and there. Their number is 0845 130 3111.

Re Viaccess magoo, the channel has now been dual encrypted for two weeks and there are no problems at all with the signal or the cards or anything!
