Is BGAFD ready for such a leap?

Hi everyone,
One of the posts on this forum suggested that I be granted an honorary membership to the BGAFD and whilst I will freely admit that it would mean a great deal to me, it would be a shallow recognition if it did not have the blessing of those that make the BGAFD what it is.
So here comes the crunch.
Do you think that I, as a shemale/transsexual performer, should be granted a place in the list of UK actresses??
Or to be very blunt. What counts more? femininity or having a pussy?
Make your decision wisely as it will set a precedent, but when doing so, consider that we are now in the 21st century (hey, you have to allow me to include a bit of bias
Yours expectently.

'What counts more? femininity or having a pussy?'
What about femininity and a pussy? What about femininity, a pussy and a great performer? Does that count more?
There was already a transexual on this database, so it wouldn't be a first. I am not particularly into transexual stuff. The number of titles which include transexuals in my collection I think is 1.

Hi Joanna
Carry on girl what your doing your a star, you've got a section of the market that can't be touched by many.
As i said a little while back what the British industry needs is an injection of new talent to liven it up a bit, if you don't get accepted now on here it shouldn't be long before they have no choice but to accept you, your talent & film making.

Yes i can't see why not,It like Joe said there already 1 on the actresses side(I think it the one who do a scene for Erotic artist).
How many UK Transexual performers in the porn business is there.(Bet your the only one, since most TS performers come across from the Pond(Usa)),(but like i said i think you should be listed,But hey if white tower studios can list you on there books,so should the BGAFD).
Mind you i have noticed a few people posting on this site have been asking about TS stuff(Didn't one guy on the O/T forum asked about going into that sort of market for work,so for somebody like yourself you have got a market/interest,then you go the public just going on this board to read the threads).
Also if Bgafd do list you down in the actresses section(It could be a money boast for you since you run your own website/production company,You could end up getting new Members or public buying your products who use this board or even people just going on THE BGAFD to read other peoples comments.

Interesting question...

Let me begin by saying "it's not my cup of tea"...
Having said that - I've never seen any of your product, so I'm probably not ideally qualified to comment... BUT, what "makes me tick" is the total package! It's not about femininity and it's not just a pussy - as you put it... Men just don't "make me tick" - mens bits, mens bodies - just doesn't appeal to me like a woman appeals.
Now, I fully accept that being a trans-sexual you are not, by definition, a man - but does that make you a woman? From my point of view - no... just doesn't do anything for me, really does not appeal... But I don't find the whole think abhorrent or such like either... Live and let live and accept that we're all different in our own ways, thats my outlook.
But should you be listed on here? My answer to that is - I'm totally and utterly neutral on the subject. What impact would listing you in the database have on ANYBODY? There are no negatives from listing you on the database - you're quite open about your TS status - do you fit in the "actress" category - in my opinion, probably not, but it's entirely subjective and I'm sure many would say you do - so to that end, I say list you and damn them all - if they don't like what you do - then they can simply choose not to look...
Listing you can actually only have positive effects;
a) enhance your profile.
b) allow persons INTERESTED in what you offer to find information on you.
c) perhaps break down barriers on a fairly tabboo subject
At the end of the day - the database serves a purpose in that if people want to locate a "actress" they can scroll through the names on the list - are people likely to consider you an actress and want to find details on you - HIGHLY LIKELY - therefore - it makes sod all difference what anybody thinks in isolation - you probably do deserve a place on the list to benefit the porn-lovers who DO find your stuff appealing....

Just my 0.02p.
This is the British GIRLS Adult film database, not transexual or bloke performers database, although that does not or should not limit particpation on the forums. However, as for being listed not in my opinion.
I'm not anti-transexual, not for a second, if thats what you like fine, but this is the BGAFD. If you have the full conversion then maybe.
Interesting topic, if anyone has seen the on going Sky One programme on Sundays, All About Miriam, some transexuals can be stunning.

Well, you're already in by the, um, back-door: .
And Michelle Kent's already listed, as has been pointed out- although that may be more due to historical relevance.
Personally, I don't see why not- but for some reason iafd list TS performers as males, which seems a bit harsh to me, not to mention inaccurate.

I have to admit to never having seen porn featuring a TS performer - as I've said, it doesn't interest me one little bit - don't mean that in a nasty or derogatory way - it's just not my scene... But having seen the cover shots of "Joanna's" stuff - quite clearly we're looking at someone who portrays themselves in looks, dress etc as a female. As to what they do as a performer - I don't know - do they perform as a "female" or as a male? But does it really matter in terms of a database listing?
I think to take the database to it's literal extreme, is, well, a little "extreme"!
It's a reference... nothing more... Joanna IS a name associated with the female sex... if I'd heard someone talking about a UK pornstar named Joanna Jet and I had never before heard the name, I'd automatically try the BGAFD database to find out more.
The argument as to whether TS performers belong there or not is rather pointless in my opinion - what harm does t do, what negative impact does it have... it merely adds to a very comprehensive reference on UK porn.
However, having said that - I do accept that, yes, it is BRITISH GIRLS... No, It isn't a database for male performers, nor is it a database for TS performers (by definition of it's title - GIRLS). However, in the case of TS performers, I do think it's a grey area - she (or he, depending how you wish to view it) doesn't sit solidly on either side of the line - the line that dictates who gets listed and who doesn't - i.e. Yes to girls, No to males.
Undoubtedly, there are some out there that ARE interested in Joanna's product - and I'd say that given the name "Joanna", the natural place to make a search for info would be BGAFD...

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your input so far and especially to "JackHorny" for taking the time to write posts that show without doubt considerable thought and consideration.
At this stage, the outcome seems to include an equal mix of yes, no and don't mind either way and I must offer another thank you for being frank and honest in your views.
One post in particular highlighted the crux of the matter. Shemales are neither male nor female so where do they fit in? Am I, just like in the mainstream world, excluded from both and destined to tick between the boxes?
Until the world is ready to add a third box for me to tick, my preference will remain to place my pen on "female", not because I am a woman (I am the first to say I am not) but because my looks, figure, deportment, voice and mannerisms (and an F in my passport) lead society to regard me as female. If you feel this is overstated, click on my name, check my profile and consider what your initial instincts say to you.
The medical options and cosmetic procedures that are now available in this 21st century permit for an engineered third sex in addition to the two genetic options and it is proving to be a medical phenomena that is just as contraversial as cloning.
The wide variances of views within this BGAFD forum topic or the level of discussion over the "There's something about Miriam" show on Sky One just go to confirm this statement.
I am fighting a battle on both sides of the Atlantic and my goal is not to convert or gain approval but simply to be acknowledged.
I have made considerable inroads in the US porn industry but I am currently only just touching the edges in the UK.
I truly believe the world of porn will be the first place that will come to recognise the existence of a third sex: the shemale.
The shemale, an artificially created sex that consists of male sexuality wrapped within a female shell.
I hope that this post does nothing more than make you consider .
Yours respectfully,
Joanna Jet
