After talking to Mike from MSS tonight, he wants to start the ball rolling from the Production side, at JFT we have already started to informing our models that we would like them to have full HIV & STD tests ever 30 days and are discussing this with our clients. I look forward to getting together with Walpole and othe agents and all the producers to make this a UK standard, and I will be in touch with them all shorty to confirm dates, but before we carry on, the email. Hi All

Can you please note that with immediate effect MSS Interactive have decided to implement a 30 day HIV testing rule on all models working for us
involved in boy girl productions. With immediate effect anybody working for
us MUST have an HIV test valid within 30 days there can be exceptions to the rule and I trust that all agents will understand why and work with us on
this. Also please note that wef the 1st May 2004 all tests must be full STD
and not just HIV obviously both within 30 days.

Just to make sure this is clear anybody turning up with a test outside of 30
days will not work on that day it could also jeopardise anybody else working
that day as obviously we might not be able to shoot the scene and therefore no one will get paid.

This is something that has been on my mind for some time now and with all
the recent discussions I feel it is time somebody took a stand and that all
reputable producers should and would like to follow in the example we are
setting and that all agents act quickly and decisively to implement this
across the industry in the UK. After all it should be foremost for all in
the industry to try and protect the health of the talent that we have
working for us.

I trust you will concur with my views and work with me to make this happen
it is no use just me setting an example all should be keen to help make this
change in the UK Adult industry.

Mike has also informed me that they will be looking in to asking performers of girl girl scenes to have this paperwork as well, and this may come in to place in May as well.

He didn't make this monumental decision before now so what were his criteria then (in the bad old yesterdays)?

Do husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend teams, who only work with their partner have to have tests under this regime?

i am all for for this and i tend to have my hiv and stds done regularly now anyway but so far considering im working most days and half my shoots at the moment are professional nobody has asked me for such paperwork !

also the other problem is although its very easy to get hiv tests done on occasions ive had to wait up to 3 weeks to get an apnt at charing x to get stds done and whenever i call them it is always engaged ! wot happens if your test is almost a month old and u cant get an apnt to get hiv tests done for another couple of weeks ? does that mean i cant work !!!!!!! unless i use a condom ? which i dont mind but obviously some producers do !

at the end of the day even if it is a good idea i can never see the whole of the uk porn industry using condoms ! and it would be great if we could all get hiv and std tests done whenever we wanted without paying large amounts of money and waiting ages !but that is not the case at the moment ! so if these "laws " were inforced now then the industry would come to a grinding halt ! before we put all these very important measures into place shouldnt we check that there are sufficient medical means to do this to cater for the whole uk industry not just london based models ! but luckily for me i live in london but not all models do !i think it should be a gradual thing otherwise there are not gonna be enough models around with the paperwork to work !!!!!!!

That is something we will have to look in to and discuss, but I feel it maybe a good idea, as sometimes you do have a couple that are joined at the start of the scene for some G/G then the guy moves in and takes over.

You have hit the nail on the head with regards condoms, so if this is brought in as standard we could reduce that problem for even people who use condoms.

With regards the postings from Faye, if clients are not asking to see your paperwork you should be putting it under their nose amd also making sure, which I am sure you do, seeing everybody's paperwork before you start work.

On the test's, it will just take planning. I know it can be hard to get in to Indigo sometimes, and some of this is because some performers book for the tests then do not show and do not cancel the slot they have. So for anybody who is reading this, if you can't make your booking, cancel it so somebody else can use it.

Jason I went to Indigo last year and they were not to clever, I think you need to be talking to the dept of heath you have my backing, The best ever place I used was Motherwell in Scotland where because it was not so busy they had time to talk and learn. Maybe a clinic outside London would be better. Not down here because they don't issue any paperwork ???? yes I do test regulary and my local clinic (bottom of the road) is a specialized unit Warren Browne. They do a full test everything including Diabetes at the end they show you the results and put them back in a filing cabinet......??? if you want to see my current test I need to take you down the Unit and they will show you. I fear this testing thing may be full off problems...I did hear some was knocking them out on a PC for a tenner with no wait or clinic visits. Could this not be an answer ???
