I think you were just unlucky with vivthomas- their stuff usually arrives within a week, often less.
Bit unfair to judge them on the one case- and What?'s point about the 28-day rule is industry-standard, given the shambolic state of our postal services.

That 28 days from Viv Thomas must have been a one-off as I ordered Sex Analyst off him and it was here within 5 days.
