I have been visiting and occasionally posting on this forum for a good couple of years, and one thought has been going round in my head for a while now.

I am 26 and would love (as I'm sure many of the guys on here would) to produce some of my own work, though not necessarily even with a view to releasing it.

Where I am coming from is basically that I don't want to even attempt getting established in the porn scene, but I do like the idea of having a go in front of the camera (especially with some of the stunning models currently working).

Is it possible to get the necessary STD certification, hire a model, a studio and camera man, etc with a view to capturing some of my own action?? Or am I talking rubbish?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Even if it is just to knock this idea on the head.

Ive studied photography - so I know my way around a camera and lighting ...well enough for the work you have in mind ! ( I think )

I have taken some pics of some well known ladies - I also know of a few studio's that are accomodating (might even be able to find one of my own !) - theres plenty of models - ...

Ah so Forcep has dabbled in photography; well sorry that really does not cut it.

Why you ask, well the easy bit is the HIV cert, get down to your local GUM clinic and get it done but you have to pay for your cert.

Now it would seem that making a porno film is fairly easy, sure a domestic mini DV Cam will do but like everything else there are the unknowns.

A knowledge of camera techinique, lighting, then there is video editing, and authoring to DVD if you feel that a tape does not give it the cache it requires.

I wouldn't worry about using a studio, your place or popular chain of hotels/motels would suffice, although a studio has the lighting, it can be cold and intimidating.

Of course we must mention the "performance", sorry but it has to be mentioned. Easy for the girl but how about you? can you manage the few hours required to get the footage for editing? and will you be able to keep it up, even if the girl does not turn out to be as fanciable as those first impressions.

Have a go but I am sure that others will amplify the above.

why not make a film using one of the 'amateur' makers - no offence, i read all the post on this topic - such as videokim

i must admit i have like everyone else toyed with the idea of making a film, if a group of like minded people got together i would like to think they could pull it off.

I think you might find that some of the more in-demand models, which I assume are probably the ones you have in mind, will only work with established male talent.

That said, I'm sure there are a plethora of performers who would be willing to work with you as long as you have the right test certificates.

Give it a go...you never know!

i would hazard a gues that 1 in every 10 guys in the uk has had a go, at least, at this - making his own porn.

u get ur own established porn star. u get to perform with her - under her conditions - and take a film away to watch after.

This is something that I have done but not with what you would call established porn stars. More of your semi pro/amateur type which you can find in a lot of local model agencies which I found in Free Ad papers.

Most of the stuff I have done has been with me behind the camera as I was in a long term relationship and although she was okay with taking photo's, it was strictly forbidden by her for me to be in front of the camera perfoming with the girl.

Last summer this relationship ended and I have performed with two girls and had stills and a video filmed of these which was not for publication but only for my use.

Whereas I enjoyed being with the girls it wasn't what I thought it would be. Maybe I'm more of a voyeur, a spectator and not participator. I don't know.

Also and this is just a point and please correct me if you think that I am wrong but I disagree that the girls would be choosey and only work with the top professional male performers. Look at Fat Freddie. He has made about 12 to 13 films with casts that are like a who's who of this site. Sandie, Faye, Laura Hermenson and many more top class gorgeous girls have worked with him. Yet he's an average looking guy in his late forties/early fifties who's not in mint condition (no offence meant) and the girls appear only to happy to perform with him. Good luck to him as he's doing what most of us would like to do.

With this in mind then surely most guys could do it if they had the resources so long as you organised thingswell, paid the models the going rate and they could see that you were genuine.
