woodgnome, section 3.6 states "Posters going to the trouble of using an anonymous proxy normally have only one intention - to stir things and cause trouble"
Neither of which I have any intention of doing I promise you, you have my word on that geezer, I'm not here to stir or cause trouble, just here to make posts and discuss
I posted 2 items on this forum and both were removed, do I have your permission to repost them?

as is the case with most posters, we don't know you from adam. having a bona fide ip address enables us to determine who is a genuine contributor to the site and who is out to cause aggravation - maybe not tonight but possibly tomorrow, or the following week.
this policy has been borne out of experience and is not up for negotiation.
all you have to do is post direct to the forum, as everyone else does, without any intermediary and your posts will be secure (if no other faq sections are violated). if that is not possible (and i don't see why it shouldn't be) then, i'm afraid, all future posts will be removed.
it's not personal - it's policy.
