Hi Paul,

I resisted the charms of Digital SLR's until Canon released the D60. Love the camera, great to work with and it accepted all my L series lens. I've taken over 14,000 images during the last 15 months. I'm also looking for a second body and may persuade the bank manager to let me go for a 1Ds.

Regards

The Cameraman

The sensor in the d60 and 10d are smaller that 35mm film, and so the image is magnified 160%. No big deal unless you are shooting in a small space, in which case use a shorter lens. 28mm on a d60 / 10d is gonna come out around 45mm (as close to 50mm as it gets).

You aint gonna go far wrong using canon lenses on canon bodies ? and yes, deffo avoid Olympus!

10d is wild! Great colour, fast write down. Canons current sensor @ 100asa is like fuji film @ 50asa ? and I love fuji!

Happy days :-)

Best not to forget the Fuji S2 Pro (which I opted for)

It's based on the Nikon D100 body but has better features and sharper images, plus a pc sync socket which strangely the D100 left out?

The camera still amazes me and I favour the fuji colour over the Canon, though head to head the Canon 10D and the Fuji S2 Pro was a very tight call, i'm happy with my choice but I'm sure the Canon 10D would have been just as pleasing.

As someone else wisely suggested you should always start at which makes choosing one hell of a lot easier as we all have our own favourites and that site is so balanced and fair you can't really go wrong with your own choice (and budget).

As for "Again where can these Tiff's, J-pegs be sold on too?"
This is too open a question to address as it really depends on what strength, style and who you shoot, but basically unless your using one of the high end cameras (such as the Canon 1Ds or medium format etc.) your going to struggle to sell to magazines as they still prefer film, so you will find the market is mainly internet.

D60 was for me workS brill, got the double battery adaptor with it which helps, 2 x 1gig micro-drives. Flew to L.A bought it spent 400dollars in Lap-dancing bars with extras....... and still saved money...and was it well spent..
As for quality I use it on RAW and have a bit of sortware that converts to TIFF's...Front cover Penthouse is good enough for me.

because the exchange rate fluctuates - so the 5000USD could be a different figure the next hour
