Hoax/Real ?? Any of the producers/photographers here still in contact with Claire? I received this today:

Dear Sir,

The Anti Corruption Command of the Metropolitan Police Service is
conducting a financial investigation into the affairs of Claire Leng.
She has been charged with money laundering the proceeds of international
drug trafficking and currently awaits trial.

Photographers of Miss Leng appear on your web site and we are trying to
establish if payment was made to her for the use of these images.

Would an appropriate representative of your company please contact me to
assist re this matter.

Yours faithfully

Alan Thomas
Detective Sergeant

I replied via the email address provided (....@met.police.uk) it looked genuine to me which is why I asked if anyone is in actual contact with her

I would treat with extreme caution, a quick look on the Met's website suggest that there is no such thing as the 'Anti Corruption Command', the closest is the 'Anti-Corruption Group' and that deals with internal corruption. I think this may possibly be an attempt at a stitch-up. Cheecking the e-mail headers should establish whether the e-mail really did originate from the Met. If you like I can check them out if you e-mail to the address above. This may be genuine, but I've certainly never heard of e-mail being used an initial approach by the police.

It is total bollocks.

Should an enquiry be made in a criminal case -regardless of the bature of said case-you would receive either a telphone call to make an appintment or a knock on the door.

No specifics are EVER referred to in the way your email does.

Need I go on?

Some asshole -for reasons known only to his twisted mind, is having you on.
OR attempting in his own wierd way, to discover your relationship with said Claire.

Finally, impersonating a police officer is a criminal offence and frowned on by The Authorities.

There is a reference (badge number?) and a phone number, the email headers are from the met.police.uk domain. I'm not going to get involved, I run porno sites I want to stay off the police's radar :-), I just thought people here might find it interesting be it real or hoax.

I emailed the guy back but haven't had a response.
