I think that we are on the verge here of a new avenue in film and Porn has always been at the forefront of new breakthroughs - Video machines - yeah they quickly ended up being used to play blue movies - there always has been a market out there for porn. There is so much porn out there that you would find that the internet has more porn than anything else, so its out there and people tend to file share - hence sites like rapidshare and hotfile and the like all make loads of money on selling other peoples material. Its life and if you cant get used to that then you need to be out the business. Find something else to make money on.
Ive seen the odd porn file thats been downloaded free and well its no different to watching a bought and paid for site. thats the trouble people think like that and see no wrong in doing it. Why would they when the internet is full of porn? Remember those printing shops in the high street prontaprint? they were making loads of money and now where are they? gone as people have photoshop and graphic packages that let em get out there and do their own. Computers have made it so much easier.
The film industry is struggling to find someong that is different and unique - most folks have 42" plasmas now so enjoy a good film at home why go to a cinema and pay ?25 quid to watch the same quality that you can watch at home? so they have done something about it try to offer an experiance that you cant get at home - total immersion in the film. There is just a glut at present in the porn industry and of course a recession thats biting peoples arses. People dont want to spend and it will take time to come thought this. The porn indistry will settle down again and it wont go under as there is always a healthy desire for porn and it will find its place again.

And all on a thread that isnt absolutely true.

Giving things free does not always stop business. One of the larger companies runs one of the larger tube sites. I think its RK or brazzers but cannot be certain. The tube site brings in the traffic then the good surfers purchase the site. 1 in every 1000 shall probably purchase membership. When your having 100thousand a day traffic thats 2grand a day in the pocket.

Sex, drink & music shall never end whether there is free stuff or not.

How about the music business and all of the free download sites?!
