Hello, hello...

Well, I suppose it could only be so long before one of these crawled out...

A thoroughly unpleasant and pathetic contribution to what has developed into a very worthwhile debate regarding the rights of Models to physically promote their work in the public domain.

It is not so much what is said, but the attitudes that lurk behind somebody who would want to make such a comment publicly.

I think this exhibits perfectly the differing set of standards and scrutiny, black and ethnic models/citizens can expect to encounter within this industry as in many others. Simple fact of the matter is that this cretin would not even have bothered contributing to this debate, if it had been regarding two white models....

The utopia that certain posters have described does not exist...If white models do something controversial, they will not attract any comments which relate to the collective social, legal or political status of the white community as a whole. The focus of debate will remain on the moral questions raised regarding the actual events...

In contrast, Louiza and Lala do a semi-clothed horny dance in Birmingham, and a model who has done daytime flashing shoots stark naked, near very busy traffic - and then urinated in the street, still naked and in broad daylight - comes on this forum and morally attacks them...

Then, in the subsequent indignant furore, it has only taken a few days debate on here, before the concept of resentment regarding the existence of race related protective legislation is thrown into the arena...

(Let me be clear, Gemma, we are 100 per cent sure you did not envisage any comments like this appearing)...

In a way, there is a positive to be taken from this...By raising his head in such a repugnant manner, all of those of us who care deeply and permanently about such issues, are once more reminded just exactly how important it is, that we continue to fight them in all areas of our lives.

To not do so, is to surrender to true 'indeceny'....We each take our morals where we find them.
