Iain, you may share the monetary costs and revenue equally, but there are costs that aren't measured in pounds that a model won't get to share equally with you.

Your material is quite easy to spot (you definitely have your own style) and I have been offered material shot by you that I would assume based on a number of things (the kind of material, who the model was, etc) that makes me strongly assume that it was not from anything you shot for any site or for any public sites like bentbox.

Now, I have no idea if the person offering had bought it from you directly or had traded for it, nor did I trade for it (it was nowhere enough for what he was hoping I'd send him). But I think only a fool would trade for something he bought directly from a photographer, but I guess there only needs to be one fool who really, really wants something someone else has that's really rare and unique.

And that's a cost that the model will be paying all by herself, when that material gets out there.

True Salmon, very true. But at the end of the day it is only a naked body. You have to put these things into perspective. Of all the models out there who have ever done nude modelling, probably only about 0.0001% are what you might actually call "famous" i.e. that the general public who watch crap reality TV have actually heard of outside of the shrinking circle of fans of glamour / lingerie or adult modelling who are obsessive collectors. If you take a Page 3 Girl like Dani Sellers who ended up on Love Island, or Megan Barton-Hanson who modelled for Studio66 TV and magazine, then also ended up on Love Island, they are properly "famous" for about a month, then drift back into obscurity. Ok they might be embarrassed by a set or two of higher level photos, like the awfully produced stuff of Megan with that purple sex toy, but like I say, fundamentally it is only a naked body, inserting things into orifices. It is hardly Watergate or the expenses scandal. The vast majority will ignore. I know when the Keeley Hazel sex tape leaked out in the early 2000s, she was deeply upset. But not nearly as upset as the rest of us at the shocking quality of the footage and almost total lack of those natural boobs in shot. Life goes on eh. Once a picture is made, the worst case scenario is that it WILL be around for ever and it WILL be widely accessible. Only a fool would not realise that. Many models balance that risk against a higher fee in the short term. There are others, who would never do higher level stuff, not even for ?100k. Everyone's attitude towards their work is a personal thing. We musn't let is keep us awake at night.

It is a shame what has happened to this board. I remember the good old days when it was very active. No one complained then if you had a go at encouraging interest in a cute English girl like I did with Sophie Star (one of my favourites from those days) and others. Now it stands out more and you get accused of spamming by angry or bored people or people with an agenda. You are right, I probably shouldn?t bother.
