Who's mentioned the BBC? What's the pro-EU agenda got to do with the metric system? They use the metric system in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and they're not in the EU. I've never heard the BBC use Km's in their news coverage!!

You cannot be serious!

You can't have been listening too hard, because their news programmes are fully metric. That's why we had 100mm of rain last week, causing floods 2m deep. The fact that real people might actually need to know how much rain we had or how deep the flooding was is far less important than being PC.
