Nothing overly strange about it. WWE said that it was due to a family emergency he wasn't theat Vengeance. Many people report crap like this on wikipedia. Someone was putting 2 + 2 together and guessing the reason for the family emergency. I've read about all manner of people dying on wikipedia for them to be miracuosly alive an hour later.

Yeah, I would agree usually, but the IP address used to make the first statement was from Connecticut and the WWE headquarters is in Stamford Connecticut, but there has always been employees who leak info about the WWE all over the web.
As for Vince brandin Benoit a monster you're absolutely Randy right it is all in aid to distance himself and his company away from the incident as much as possible. I also think its a bit selfish because Benoit does have other kids and all related family are the most affected by this.
I'm still in shock about this whole thing i've been following Benoits career since 1997.
