Thanks for putting an end to it. It certainly wasn't going anywhere.

You miss my point Darkow. In no way am I taking the moral high ground. I was merely attempting to draw attention to the bankruptcy of ideas that seems to be prevalent in the British sex industry at the moment. The reason why native smut peddlers seem keen to adopt the brutal US approach, rather then continue to plough their own unique path.

Rape roleplay?

A few interesting facts for ya....

10-20% of men have fantasised about raping someone they find attractive.
Less than 1% actually try it (thankfully).

Over 90% of women have fantasised about 'being raped' (by someone they find attractive).
42% of college girls surveyed -in the USA- think it's acceptable for a woman to be 'forced' into sex by their partner (or someone they find attractive). Basically, it gets their rocks off.

My point? Well 'rape style roleplay' in porno scenes will appeal to only 1 in 5 men, but more than '4 out of 5 women' who watch the same scene. Wierd innit?

I hate guys who slap girls in scenes, totally a big turn off for me, but I can't get on producers backs for adding 'rape roleplay' in scenes because I continually watch tv & movies where people are stabbed/shot/blown up etc etc.....

I play pc games on a regular basis -one called Hitman Blood Money- where I kill people for money, and I love it! Though violent style scenes aren't my 'cup of tea', it would be hypocritical of me to take a stand against these kinda scenes (unless the girls themselves come out complaining), as I like violence in my films & games.

I seriously, seriously think that if a guys 'gona rape someone', knowing the consequence's of prison, losing friends, career & family etc, then banning 'rape roleplay' from porn aint gonna stop his intentions.

Sam, you gave a much more reasoned and balanced explanation about your understandable anxieties than some of the forumites who I think went over the top in their total condemnation of this genre of porn. And I too have read statistics in support of how a majority of women who watch porn really get their rocks off on "forced sex/rough sex/rape roleplay" type of scenes. I think no one would argue is that they are indulging in fantasy arousal and there's no way they would ever wish to be be subjected to rape and non-consensual sex in real life (other than, as they confess, by someone they really like/adore.)

If you visit the Comments section of the Cyberentertainment group (check out Sex and Submission in particular), you'd be amazed at the number of posts by female fans saying they would love to be dominated by Mark Davis of all people! Have a look at his scene with Destiney Deville here, and you'll see just how forced/non-consensual their output can be!

I-Ate-All-The-Pies, just one point. You say that the films in which men are dominated (sometimes intensely) by women do not suggest the men are being raped? You've got to be kidding! And guess what, this is one of the most popular genre (according to trade statistics) in cyber porn.

Alex is right when he says, in the end, it's adult stars, who of their free will, ACT in these sorts of films knowing what they're going to go through. The producers know that this outpust indulges people's private fantasies. It's otherwise "sensible" punters who buy/view them. And no way can anyone say that the result is a headlong rush to paedophilia and rape.

I wonder if a woman enjoys forced sex does that mean she's a paedophile sadist rapist too?
