Just for the record Andy I probably deal with as much people as you and again was only responding to demand for it.

Just goes to show when it comes to actually doing anything about it its a whole different affair.

All the best.

Errr Naomi XXX and James not Bond didn't seem to keen on the idea either Terry so I would make that about a 50/50 split on this thread..as I said in my last post I can only speak for myself and I have never had a problem with the way things are done, I can't speak for anyone who has had issues with fake certs and the like, maybe they should have spoken up at the time if they knew something was up but hey what do I know?

The database is a good idea. Some people get on set and don't want to cause a fuss, because maybe they're inexperienced or whatever reason. It's a big alligation to claim someone has faked their tests. The database would prove once and for all the truth about tests... I am sat with 3 more well known performers who all think it's a good idea, but this thread isn't really pro-active anymore, hence why they haven't posted...

I don't understand why an yone would be against a facility thnat could at best save your life, and at worse, save you getting a dose of the clap....

There was a time not too long ago when testing every 3 months was the norm... people realised it was dangerous, and more acceptable to test monthly. People were reluctant then to differ from their routine, but things changed and now monthly testing is de rigeur...
A database to protect peoples health is the way forward. It's the only way to curb an outbreak, god forbid it happens....

It seems like extra effort right now, but in the long run, I truely belive it is worth it...

Thank you for your support Isabel. I've had some very good support in this area tonight alone.

I would suggest everyone vote here please:

It is a simple yes, no or dont know.

If there is demand for it then it will go ahead. The details will be ironed out later.

In fact there has been some influential support on this as well so all discussions are moot right now.

Voting is the way to deal with this.

Andy I appreciate you are happy the way things are right now but I have been informed a lot of others are not and they do not like to post on here and dont understand why I waste my time doing so either.

But hey thats me just trying to help out by keeping people informed.

Terry

Please can you post where I have I said I object to the idea of having a central voluntary test results database?

I have not said anywhere I object to the idea of a central database and take offence at this. I have worked and donated to numerous HIV / sexual awareness causes so far in my life and believe education and responsibility is vital so people can enjoy themselves and stay safe.

I just question the integrity of the database given that a number of the models who express they like this idea can be hired by any non-tested male for an hour.

I object to hypocracy like I have done over the past ten years. If a model says we must protect ourselves from infection but is happy to be hired via an escort agency, the integrity of the database is thrown into question.

Will these models, who will remain nameless, remove themselves from these sites once they sign up to the database? If not, the database is a pointless exercise and the risk of infection will continue.

I've heard that in America, if a model is caught escorting, she is supposedly black balled by the leading production companies.

Perhaps the UK should take a similar stand and this way, the risk of infection would be minimised.

We talk about trust and respect for fellow performers but so far, a number of these people vocalising this are also the same people who commit these acts.

Perhaps it is also time that the UK porn industry releases unprotected sex is no longer a safe practice and that we should follow some other countries and start producing porn using condoms?

After all, once a man's penis is inside a woman's vagina, you can't see it!

Us British always seem reluctant to embrace change, even if it could be change for the better.

In principle I reckon this could be a good idea, it's just the semantics (is that the right word?) that need sorting out and deciding on.

Afterall, if it could save performers catching, or spreading, STI's (or worse !sad!) it's got to be a good thing.

I'd say "give it a try and see if it works".

That's my 2pennyworth.
