I think we will soon see the end of the 'physcial' DVD.

Many of the big american porn producers already have their own websites where you can buy their latest release as a download.

Put this together with a download of the box cover and get the customer the burn the DVD if they want to.

This is how I would do it.

There isn't a decline in the porn industry overall, but two things are happening:

1) People are switching from DVD to download/streaming

2) The Americans are gaining a bigger slice of the global market

There are many successful UK porn businesses, but they're working with web and/or mobile, not (only) DVD.

I'm assuming this:

http://www.**********.com/news/index.htm

Is the link Tiffany is referring to.

I'm just generally unimpressed, really. Models don't reply to all their messages. Nothing new there. Sometimes they just choose not to work with people, nothing new there either. Most models' primary interest in the shoots they get offered is the amount of money they'll make. Once more, nothing new.

I fail to see how this warrants sending someone fake emails to manipulate them into a reaction and then publishing an inflammatory article about it. As Rob says,

"Well sod all this for a game of soldiers. I'm taking my money to Eastern Europe where I can shoot REAL porn.

No more British girls for me. And of that I'm 100% serious.

I now officially retire from any further involvement in shooting UK girls or producing films in Britain."

Fine, go elsewhere. Why post an impotent rant shooting people down on your way out? Surely 'retiring from any further involvement in shooting UK girls' would include 'not trying to damage someone's career'?

On the flipside, I feel that Tiffany would have been better off just ignoring it and getting on with her work. I'm sure there are plenty of people around who are willing to vouch for her professionalism, so dignifying this with a response is counterproductive as if anything it's more likely to get a reaction from other producers who have their own bones to pick with unreliable models, and who will take the opportunity to get their digs in too.

I've had more than my fair share of shit slung at me since I've been working in adult stuff, and I'm glad that I don't do b/g work as it seems that the girls who do get it ten times worse. Part of the reason why the business is in such a mess is that there's people with knives out ready to slag each other off for the slightest thing (in this case, a producer is offended because a model didn't get back to him, it's hardly a serious professional offence, is it).

Maybe people should try to be a bit nicer to each other and not complain so much about stuff, and especially not pander to the kind of moron who wants nothing more than to see people get trodden into the dirt. I'm sure time would be better spent on sourcing good models to produce better material with, than shouting from the rooftops about how useless everyone else is.

That's my 2c.

No, I'm not into that at all. But considering the line of work I'm in, it would be mildly hypocritical of me to start criticising people who are. To some people, the extreme fetish I do (breathplay, gyno etc) is just as disgusting. I'll do A2M, even though I make sure to clean up beforehand. I don't think most people on this forum take a specifically dim view of watersports, either. I wouldn't dream of using the fact that a model will consider hardsports work as a stick to beat her with.

Especially as the first time I read this, I am certain "Model B" was not identified. It's only because of this thread that I went back to have a look and now know who it was.

Not that it really matters what anyone chooses to do in their career of course.

Rob was out of order to put emails up for anyone to read (I've always regarded emails as private) and also wrong to name Tiffanny, but perhaps a lot of us wouldn't have known anything about it without the thread.

Storm in a teacup stuff but not for Tiffanny. :(

But then was there really a necessity for us to know about it? Tiffany didn't reply to an email, for whatever reason. That's not a big deal. If anything, what's a bigger deal is producers inventing bogus jobs and waving nonexistent cash at models just to trip them up, and then using that to publicly slag them off. That's seriously dodgy.

My point is, the article doesn't help anyone. Tiffany is by the overwhelming majority of accounts a fantastic and professional model, so no one needs to be 'warned' against working with her. Other than that, what are people supposed to do with the information? Not send emails? Follow Rob's example and not hire UK models anymore? I don't see how it's constructive or productive.
