Ok photo-studio, you obviously had the benefit of knowing who the model in question was and more details than has been given here. I'm not sycic and neither is anyone else and that's my whole point about the initial post it should either include the names of those involved or not have been posted because otherwise it leaves people guessing and making wrong assumptions.
If what's been reported did actually occur then it's awful and people shouldn't get away with that.

Perhaps, but what of the weekly threads about photographers complaining of plagues of no-shows, or worse, the frequent posts on these recurring chaperone threads that describe chaperones as thugs and thieves, etc.?
Considering the situation (although you apparently aren't prepared to take the model's word for it) I'd say that my use of hyperbole is the least of our worries. As far as we know there's still some guy out there who beat up a model and he may be planning his next 'shoot' as we speak.

Just in 100% full support of what photo-studio has written. I was not aware that this had happened until she phoned me last night. The girl in question is 100% genuine in everything she does and I know the family as well. The guy is now in police custody.
I wish her well and she has my full support - along with the majority of others on this site.

It's a shame that people have a negative view of this, IMHO this girl wouldn't risk lying, as no doubt she'd get caught out eventually, especially if the police are now involved! i have no idea who this poor girl is but i can only wish her well.
Each model/tog/producer has the right to say no, cancel a shoot or otherwise, but it shouldn't turn into people pointing the finger and blaming someone for this so called togs actions!
This has had such an effect on me, as i was wanting to get into the fetish side of modeling even more, noow i'm not too sure as there seems to be a mixed response about chaperones and such like.
My fella is now scared of me taking any bokings, so is my family, he even wants to be my chaperone now which i've never done, i've always gone to shoots alone, that's the risk I take, nobody sets the rules for this!
Sorry for the rant, i hate violence of any kind!

I hope this sets a precedent to anyone out there that they cannot do this kind of thing and expect to get away with it.
Not to belabour the point but a little tip to girls: Always ask the person for references of a couple of other models. Usually I find if they dont know at least one girl that can be verified on this forum then alarm bells should ring.
Failing that, a request for an accompanying person should not be denied. Even though I've been around and can be vouched for by all corners well most anyway) of the industry I still get the odd cautious person coming through and I can only commend them for this.

As UB says the matter is now closed.
As for chaperones.... I've never been bothered if a model has a chaperone. The only things I state is that they:
1: come at the models own expense (Example, they pay their travel costs, ect)
2: don't interupt the shoot in anyway.

Hi there
Boy this is quite a thread!
I felt compelled to post and apologise that I don't get time to do so more often but I work both alone and with unclebob and have done so for about 10 yrs.
I've met lots of you lovely models and a few of the good guys here too.
Well, I know the lady Bob is talking about. She did the videowork on a B/G shoot I did about 18mths ago in the north of England and she is honestly about the gentlest model I've ever met. She isn't the personality to stand-up for herself as some more experienced and perhaps, harder ladies could. I cannot imagine what she went through but I do praise bob for following through and I really hope this moron gets 'his' and soon!
