M100 I think the person you might be talking about is the fan element. If a girl has a fan following she can make a nice living doing the same moves.

This is why girls start out doing glam might end up getting into porn not by necessity but sometimes the girls doing lesbian porn just get bored being gay for pay. Contrary to popular belief there are a few girls who hate doing stuff with other girls though I'm sure that's hard for some of us men to grasp.

"so why do producers not hire those models more often, and give them a regular line of work, even if it's a new scene a week on a website or something? stop wasting money on the chavs and spend it more wisely on building some credible superstars and rebuilding an industry where the world WANTS to pay for these girls, rather than us being a laughing stock of only having one hot girl for 20 chavs that no-one really wants to see"

There are a number of reasons:

1.) Because like JamesW says, not everyone wants to watch the same girls all the time so the producers have to look outside the usual pool of talent to bring you a new girl or so and so's first such and such scene so they can market an ordinary scene as some sort of exclusive.
2.) Porn doesn't make anywhere near the same amount of money as it used to so the cheaper the girl the better. I have been contacted loads of times asking me to do a scene for considerably less than my usual fee, when I say no there is always somebody else willing to do it for cheaper.
3.) Established girls are generally more head-strong. Controversial I know but a new unknown girl is more likely to let her boundaries be pushed than a girl who's been in the business a while. Also established girls have no-lists, a lists of performers they won't work with / things they definitely won't do / producers they won't work with etc. New girls not so much.
4.) The tendency in British porn towards amateurish / gonzo style cheap hotel room type very low budget videos.
5.) The Clips4Sale / Adultwork content share market. This seems to be where the bulk of British "pornstars" make their name.

The biggest British production houses Harmony Films, Joybear and Kaizen (Who shoot for Brazzers and Digital Playground) have a pretty rigorous casting process and directors usually have to get approval from the bigwigs before they can cast a new girl in their film. Naturally as these have the biggest budgets they shoot far less often (except Kaizen who shoot very regularly but have to fly European girls over a lot of the time)

It's funny you should say that you want to see more glamorous looking girls in British porn instead of chavs because in my opinion most of the British market definitely caters more for the latter. That isn't me being bitchy towards these girls, that's more a comment on the productions that make the girls appear that way i.e give them little or bad make up and shoot them in tacky outfits on horrible sets and locations with no professional set-up in the way of lighting and camera equipment.

When I go to Budapest to shoot the production companies out there actually joked with me that they don't book many British girls because they have a reputation out there for being ugly and bad performers! In fact my agency Sandys Models once even marketed me on their site as being Australian as they said some companies wouldn't book me because of the stigma attached to being British!

I think there's a huge market for a glamcore site here in the UK featuring British Girls with beautiful hair and make up in stunning locations a la Holly Randall style!

Are you 100% sure about that? I've read or watched interviews of plenty of new girls in their early days in the industry saying they won't do x or y. Some might change their minds later but there are definitely those who say they won't do one act or another at the beginning of their careers.

You're talking about the girls with a game plan who intend to stick around and make a career out of porn - I'm talking about the girls who appear out of nowhere and disappear just as quick!

Also.... yes I'm very sure about that regardless of whether they have a game plan or not. I'm not talking for everybody but there are producers out there who will take a naive 18/19/20 year old newbie and encourage her to do things she isn't entirely comfortable with on the premise it will make her well known and lead to other jobs. I can think of a few producers, not naming names, that have made their living out of doing just that.

Then take a slightly older girl who's been in the business for longer.. long enough to work with a wide variety of companies, made friends with the other girls etc and put her in the same situation. 9 times out of 10 she wouldn't fall for the shit those unscrupulous producers are peddling. In fact she probably wouldn't have accepted the shoot in the first place based on reputation alone.

Very true.

The line "people will see this and offer you ??? to work for them" is always a good one to use on newcomers.

While I agree with all that Lexi has said I can only defend some of the zero production values and cheap location/ gonzo fare that is prevalent in UK porn. I thik there are some of us us that have captured some genuinely fun and derring do that is selom seen on higher end productions.

That said, this is not a snipe at higher end production values. The quality of tthe product speaks for itself and I'd like to think I've never manipulated any girl into doing anything more than she agreed to do.

I know I'm not alone in that too but as Lexi has said there are elements of this attitude she described responsible for a lot of the negative energy in the business right now.

Maybe the glut of all the bad stuff is born from this cheap, tfp, content swap culture I personally think is killing decent porn from being made because the mentality is throwaway whereas the gonzo zero budget stuff was done with a sense of fun but the performers were always reasonably paid and well treated even if we didnt have make up artists an studios to work out of.

My biggest turnoff

1) Women looking in the camera whilst having sex
2) Anal
3) Cameramen who do close ups of penetration. Not sexy.

Keiran and Danny are their contract stars. Aren't in every scene at all however, Jay snakes, Marc Rose, Ryan Ryder, Xander Corvus, Jonny Sins, James Deen, Manuel Ferrera... to name but a few that appear on that site.

Also, I hate to break the illusion, but companies stick to the same couple of guys because the truth is there just are not good male talent in the UK. Maybe 3 or 4 at most.
