Well thats cool Graham. This industry is full of people with ideas. If you feel that passionately about it why dont you try and get something started then?
This industry is also full of people who moan but dont do anything and also paranoid about motives where there is nothing suspicious going on?
To do nothing is a lot worse.

So what is the point of posting this issue on this forum as you know full well this is a fan based forum, if you are saying that non industry people shouldnt have a view on it then you shouldnt post it here, and to make a point i have probably over the years done more shoots where certs were involved than a lot of the people on here who consider themselves industry.
Because this is the place to reach a lot of people in the business who I know view it but dont post. Most of them dont know about UKAP and most of them just discovered the BGAFD within the last 6 months as well. Sounds like th eperfect place to get people but we have alternated now and have a myspace and facebook presence and will invite the people we are after.
Also I thank Keni for bringing this up. There are those who didnt want it to be on here for the same reason but I salute the man for doing so as he is not a member of UKAP but took it on himself to do so because he cares and there are also a lot f performers who do too by the response.
You just wont see it here because for all the negatives that have been said about it can you blame them?

Well i thought the idea of this thread was to discuss the issue but it now appears you only want people to post on this thread if they are in total agreement with the database, not much point in starting this thread then was there, but before i sign off my reason for questioning the 30 day certs are pretty obvious anyone who has worked with models doing hard shoots knows that a girl at the height of her career can be very busy, a few years ago i booked a well known model through a certain agency for a b/g shoot and on that day i was at the end of the line as she had two b/g shoots to do before she got to me in the evening one of which was a gang bang, now the girls certs were in date but they wasnt worth the paper they were written on as a busy performer can do a lot of shoots in 30 days, a database on its own will help with dodgy certs but it wont minimise the risk, and as for Fred In The Shed well it would make a good name for an amateur porn site.

Well thats about right Graham. If I focussed on those who were negative Id be wasting my time would i not? The positives are way ahead in wanting this now.
So yes. Thats about right.
Ive got everybodys attention on board. To push for a test every 10 days wil never work and I thought you were in favour of encouraging new talent into the business.
Could you honestly see new models for the first time getting tests every week and a half in a year??? Thats a bit much to ask for...Unless of course she was working for a company that was worthwhile and most likely in the US.
Yes the tests are compromised with any models first scene but the point is that at least the industry or producers can verify it is in date before booking a model and print it off for their records in pdf format if the model loses it or her copy is knackered.
Also models can give other models access to view it therefore reducing a lot of headaches on the day prior to production.
That in itself was my inspiration since Ive been caught a few times in that dilema and I hate being in that position.
Fans can comment if they want to but the models dont see it as their isue of concern and thats my point. So dont take it personal.
If the fans were doctors and lawyers offering intelligent opinions then it will be taken on board.
If fans were that true to porn anyway they would support all the models doing it with condoms surely.

PS I know that not all the industry will want to be part of this and if there reason is just because UKAP spear headed it then thats arrogance on their part but their prerogative but lets not forget when the industry last convened en masse that we got 30 day testing in place.
Somehow I think just because that industry association has a name now that somehow it can be attacked better is what I think.
Is that not what all this negativity is about? UKAP spear heading this as if we are trying to put some kind of strangle hold on the industry?
How about some of us actually care because it is our business to. Thats the problem wit htis industry and why amateurs resent professionals so much I think but in truth we are all in the same game and the association reflects that.
You still havent responded to my offer about attending a meeting and putting you opinions forward Graham. thats the only way to get things done around here by getting the industry together. Not splintered like how its been for so many years.
We do actually have amateurs on board as well.

Well yes Terry i do consider myself an amateur even though i have sold numerous films to the adult channels both here in the UK and abroad not to mention the many photo sets of mine that have been published in UK and US mags and the fact that i remain an amateur is because that is the way i like it, but i would never do a shoot without first costing it out and figuring out how i could make a profit from it, and this is the kickback is a professional in the adult industry a person who makes a living from it or a person who makes a profit from it because a person who makes a living from it should embrace a database wheras a person who is just out for profit may not care one way or the other, but any shoot i do would probably be a gonzo shoot then of course i do care and as i dont shoot reguarly i would get tested before every shoot and my certs would be no more than a couple of days old which is why i put more importance on when the fellow performers certs was issued rather than a database.

Hi,
I would like to add my information if I may for two reasona, although I am not around producing or performing I would like to add my area in as I know there are other performers in my area that will find it useful having their local clinics listed even if they dont get around to posting on here themselves for whatever reason, plus incase I ever come back as I am missing things ......
Where do you get tested - Newcastle General Hospitial
How often do you get tested - Every 3-4 weeks
What do you pay to get tested - ?15
and
Darlington Memorial Hospital
I only did it here twice and got it free both times or at least once, but Newcastle was like that till I became regular and realised I was in the industry and want getting tested for my piece of mind socially. So doubt it will be free all the time but no idea on price.
Durham Uni Hosptial would be helpful too in fact all 3 work together being in the same area.
All above are NHS hosptials
