In actual fact, Terry - I do "produce" some of my own material but I don't currently have it online yet - I believe a paysite needs to have a substantial back catalogue if it is going to be successful - I don't have enough to justify going live.

Having said that, I've contributed here in a capacity more as an interested observer rather than an actual stakeholder. I happen to fall into the camp which believes UK porn has become stale, unimaginative, formulaic and is an industry in sharp decline. I think producers seem to have run out of ideas and I see UKAP as more of a "bacl-slapping" outfit...

As you have pointed out yourself - models come and go, and even the consumer is probably transient to some extent - but the producers are there for the long haul. But that doesn;t mean that the producers have all the answers. If you were to include within your organisation a handful of models and a handful of consumers you might get fresh, new ideas and achieve far more than you would sitting round a table with your established conies.

There is already a site TDW where producers, models and consumers chat about the industry and discuss ideas.......and were coversing on it right now! LOL

A site, agreed... but I wasn't particularly talking about the UKAP site - I'm talking about the "organisation" in general - the meetings... The meetings, I assume are the "business end" of the organisation.

No problem... but just as a comeback to your suggestion that THIS forum provides for "ALL" - I'd refer you to Terry's earlier post where he acknowledges that most producers don't contribute here - http://bgafd.co.uk/forum/read.php?f=5&i=86792&t=86583

But, accepting that the debate has perhaps now become as stale as the UK Porn industry - I'll just reinforce my opinion that if the producers do want to breathe new life into UK Porn then the best way to do that would be through also involving models and consumers.

Donkeywork:

Of course this thread is getting boring. It is one of those subjects that comes around periodically trying to attack UKAP for the state of the industry. Dont forget that you are part of this same thread that you accuse of being stale also

Maybe it might be constructive to attack us individually for our own product.

I dont need back up from UKAP as I'm a big lad and can handle myself (oo-er)

In all my years I have never heard a performer complain about the state of the market and all I hear from people on here are complaints and if they ever make a suggestion, its already in effect anyway.

As Ive said (and Gaslight too), we do talk to a variety of people who are not members of the producers forum and we all have our own customers we listren too as well. Its worked for me (and us) for years.

If you feel porn is becoming stale then maybe thats you as an individual. Surely out of all the millions of scenes and sites out there something must get you going?

No doubt like everyone else you are producing what you feel is different and more what you want to see then another customer comes along and says the same thing as you.

Can you see a pattern forming here?

Music is stale. Movies are stale. TV is stale. Its all subjective to opinion isnt it?

To someone else it might be the most exciting thing until they get bored of it as well.

Footnote: Actually a couple of other producers have commented on this thread. If it was done properly and you really wanted a varied response to this then maybe you should just go to www.ukadultproducers.com

If anything I would say the producers forum is a lot more positive than what I am reading here.

It has audio interviews with talent and producers, articles, information and advice on all things from health to post production.

If that isnt open with a positive impact on helping the industry, I dont know what is.

The reason we wouldnt accept you as a producer at this stage Donkeywork is simply because a lot of people say the same thing and have nothing to show and just want to come in for whatever their motives are.

We've experienced this so forgive us if we are a bit cautious this time out. the definitions is laid out in who can join? (right there on the home page)

When you ar eproducing for all else to see that you are you are more than welcome to come along to a meeting and join up if you like.

You sound like a man with a bit of fire in his belly. Thats got to be good.

Kaz is correct, as we are now entering a recession and the next couple of years at least will be tough for most of us and now is not the time to be bickering, the porn industry should not be burying its head in its hands i will hopefully make some constructive critism and suggestions, i have lived through previous recessions and one thing i do know is that the cost of shooting porn will come down, yes you heard it right, there are a lot of girls out there with mortgages who will also be finding it tough which means more girls will be willing to come into the adult industry to make a some extra money to pay the bills, and a lot of these girls will work for a lot less than the current rate, now i know a lot of the professional producers will slate me for saying this but you should make the most of this situation and if a girl is worthy of filming and prepared to work for less then book her as you may be a professional but you are not a business person if you dont, and you can rest assured that there will be plenty of amateurs that will be taking advantage and flooding the market with cheap porn. of course if you belong to a group who have decided to try and set a minimum rate then this may be difficult.

Now it has been suggested on this thread that the British porn industry should do more to promote itself and more interaction with the public and on that one i agree, Terry has pointed out that he is one of the few members of UKAP who post on these forums as most of the others are fed up with the negative critism, but they should be on here and debating this critism as Terry has done on this thread, now i have nothing against UKAP but they were more than willing to promote their party on this forum and went out of their way to point out that it was for industry people only followed after by posting the photos of the party which sort of gives out a message to the fans {hey look at us we are all having a good time and you mugs are paying for it} of course that wasnt their intention and they are fully entitled to hold a private party but why not hold more parties where the fans are invited so they can meet the models and producers and then post the photos on every forum you can think of, its called self promotion which is what the British porn industry needs more of.
Right so when is the next piss up !wink!

Because the talent wanted it that way Planeterotica.

There are plenty parties that do go on like Blue Cam live had one recently. Blue Bird have theirs and these are strictly closed shops.

There are plenty of other times during the year for fans to meet the girls.
