Without wishing to be rude, I think your na?vet? is staggering. No, I don't think he was a mass murderer but he did belong to a terrorist organisation, which makes him a terrorist.

Without checking all of the aboves bios on wikipedia, I must confess I don't know. At a guess - were they all convicted in a court of law for carrying out terrorist acts?

They were all terrorists who went on to become elected politicians/statesmen. My point is that Mandela is not the first nor last terrorist who will attain elective office. Every government says: "We will never talk to terrorists." And we always, always, always do and always will...
