From Wikipedia:
"Immediately following the 11 September 2001, attacks on the United States, he (Cat Stevens - MAD) said:
'I wish to express my heartfelt horror at the indiscriminate terrorist attacks committed against innocent people of the United States yesterday. While it is still not clear who carried out the attack, it must be stated that no right-thinking follower of Islam could possibly condone such an action. The Qur'an equates the murder of one innocent person with the murder of the whole of humanity. We pray for the families of all those who lost their lives in this unthinkable act of violence as well as all those injured; I hope to reflect the feelings of all Muslims and people around the world whose sympathies go out to the victims of this sorrowful moment.' "

So you cannot compare Cat Stevens to the bloodthirsty thugs ruling Iran, if that's what you meant.
(And yes, I do have an album by Cat Stevens.)

What, and not justify your assertions that I'm 'obsessed with Islam' and how admitting that there are different mind-sets in Islam makes me someone who 'lumps them all together based on their common religion'???

It's probably best, actually. Yet again you decided to have a pop and yet again you was shown to be the one who's childish and ignorant. I was defending Muslims and you found a way to criticise me for it when you should have been backing me up. It was your over-eagerness to get one up on me that caused you to overlook my main point (either that or you just was more concerned about attacking me than being helpful).

"Matthew & Son" (compilation album, 1988). I also own an original EP from 1967, featuring "Matthew & Son", "Granny", "I Love My Dog" and "Portobello Road". Bought it in '67 for 1 guilder and 90 cents (the price tag is still on it). No, it is not for sale.

Once again it's the fundamentalists wanting to stir up trouble again.
Is it not true that fundamentalists of all religions wish to do the same and wish to impose their views on others.
Unfortunately it's these people that seem to grab the power.

I know it's easy to hit out at the Muslim community at the present time, but i would say that the vast majority just want to live a normal life like anyone else.
Turning their community into hate figures will only drive more to fundamentalists views.
Don't forget there are many bigoted Christians in this world as well. I think you have only to look at Ireland to see that.

One more thing..
Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a influx of burkhas being worn in this country since Blair took us to war with Iraq.
I was down in Leicester before Christmas and was surprised now many i noticed.
8- 9 years ago you hardly saw any.
