I agree with it economically speaking (planned economy is better in times of need, if done right).
Trouble is giving too much power to so few. Always dangerous.

Who's ignoring them??

As I said before Wazza - this is a thread about FOOTBALL and the massive inequalities that exist within the English game today. It's not a thread about world poverty, or the respective vices and virtues of capitalism vs. communism. Or have you never heard of taking a thread wildly off topic?

If you want to start a thread about the uneven distribution of wealth in the wider world, be our guest. Otherwise FUCK OFF - this is a FOOTBALL thread.

Of course they do. Your point being?

Well, I think Giggs played for Belle Vue or Swinton Town or some such obscure club, before being spotted by Man City and poached by United. Beckham likewise played for some obscure youth side before joining Bobby Charlton's soccer academy, the Nevilles I think were indeed Man Utd youth team players, Scholes I don't know about.

But the point that I think you're trying to make (that big clubs nurture talent too) in no way invalidates my earlier point that the smaller clubs used to be real nurseries of home-grown talent for the English game, whereas now that's far less true.

Well if that's the case, it raises the question as to how much the rest of us deserve for putting up with some of the nonsense and the pompous, politically-correct pinko-liberal claptrap that YOU spout at us on a daily basis?

Well wazza - you really have surpassed yourself this time in the pedantic, pontificating cuntery stakes.

I could argue back and forth with you all night, but sadly YOU are the one who isn't interested in "debating" - merely in vainly trying to convince the world how morally and intellectually superior you are to the rest of us, distorting what others say - and always having to have the "last word" .

I'll just take one example from your last post, because frankly I can't be arsed with you any more - OBVIOUSLY Man Utd aren't having any negative impact on the emplyoment situation in football IN MANCHESTER!!!!! But elsewhere - as other clubs struggle to survive due to the lack of cash trickling down to the lower levels of the game - THAT's where the problems (and potential problems) lie.

I even fucking AGREED WITH YOU that big clubs **also** nurture their own talent by citing the Nevilles as an example. My point was simply that as the gap between the haves and have-nots has widened, so too has the importance of the have-nots as nursery clubs decreased.

Fucking hell. And you call yourself "intelligent" (or is that another piss-poor attempt a "humour" on your part).

I don't "deserve" to reply to your posts? More like you're not worth replying too - you pompous Scots ass.

It is only tubes who are that pedantic about being "on topic" - the whole forum is "off topic"!

The pot calling the kettle black wazza

I mean you pulling people up over their spelling is pedantic

The o/t sign on the other hand is useful because it gives the viewer a choice to either waste their time going off on a tangent or just ignore the post from then on in

Just common courtesy which I've always found useful

So snowballs a tube then

As the flat viewers are in the minority...fuckem I say

For the threaded viewers maybe a better solution would be a subtle header change as caractacus and I have done in my 3rd rock thread
although everyone forgets occasionally cos were human

As for playing spelling cop...once is too much
