As he points out himself in another article (or maybe the same one, it's a while since I read them) Islam is not a race. He's attacking religious fundamentalism and violence, not the race of the people who are involved in terrorism.

I've no doubt whatsoever that Rob would be having a go at the IRA if they were still active and it wouldn't be because they are Irish, although he'd be probably be calling them Paddies, but because he thinks terrorists are scum.

He's an edgy cunt but I don't think he is at all racist. Just calls it as he sees it.

Being Muslim isn't a race, but an ideology. We can generalise about Marxism, or fascism........or indeed your belief in supporting the wrong footy team, so why get narky because Rob picks on a religion?

I think death might be going a bit far. This is not a capital crime after all. A brisk kick and a slap might be more justifiable for the moderately annoying crime of being a pretentious middleclass git and supporting fashionable causes simply because they are fashionable with your Islington dinner party pals.
