Many pople who saw the press pictures thought she looked more like 36 than age of 26 at time of trial, I thought she looked older than she was . All those drugs/drink taken their toll which seemed to have given that pretty face a hardened look.also, the blond hair had gone and a more natural brown look used, still attended court in fake tan and false nails though!Often described as a patsy kensit lookalike i believe.
perhaps someone needs to start a new post, where is Karina Clarke as the posts on here may slip under the radar.

Just had a quick look round on the net re prison terms for attempted murder, I see it can carry a life sentence. however circumstances of the case can be taken into account, I suppose they were here, the fact that Melissa's face kept hitting this blokes fist was probably why first sentence by judge was 2. 5 years.
of course, it is possible to knife someone to death and get away with it on grounds of self defence, who can forget career criminal kenneth noye who knifed a policeman who had him under surveillance or the actor/criminal john bindon who also killed someone in a knife fight and got acquitted on self defence grounds.
as a previous poster said, think she needed Mike Mansfield or someone in similar vein to defend her, no doubt would have done a character assassination on this bloke and convinced the jury she feared for her life, would have stood a better chance with the self defence plea.

money laundering..i think. Probably did less than a year though. Think she was already out of porn when it all happened. Pity she left, I always thought she and steve hooper may have been a couple at one time, she did a fair few scenes with him if memory serves me right .it needs
someone to put up a fresh post under heading "whatever happened to Karina Clarke?"We may find out then.

Melissa should be out now. She got 2 1/2 years on 21st June 2007. If she behaved herself and won parole she would have served half!
Her best film was where she played an Estate estate agent, screwing clients, her boss, and her secretary! A classic.
Having met her and spent tine with her shortly before the crime, she was very bitter about how Quant got away with what he did!
In a moment of madness, she went over the top it seems, instead of getting proof of what he did, if she could!

"Melissa should be out now. She got 2 1/2 years on 21st June 2007."

You forgot to mention that the Court of Appeal increased the sentence to 4 years 9 months.
