Well said Kelly. I've read your points with interest in Desire a while back and it was refreshing to get a womans angle on it. I've met Rocco in person and can say he doesnt come across as an asshole at all. He strikes me as a man who can deal with a challenge if a lady was to throw down the gauntlet and I have heard from a few other women that the only reason they did porn in the first place was to work with the Roc star.

A very informative post there Keith. Do you know a lot of performers don't watch porn? I had to school a couple of guys that didnt know some things were possible. Most producers I have worked for have been rather "predictable" in what they want... formulaic sex moving through pre-determined positions culminating in the obligatory facial cumshot (in the vast majority of cases)... This formulaic approach sells and has sold well so the formulaic approach is perpetuated.

I think, Kelly, you're absolutely right... I think it was Kym and I that touchedon this thing - there are times when a director should just sit back and let the cameras roll - appropriate at times when performers "click" - of course, there will always be times when a director will NEED to cut in and "direct" but I'd really like to be given more af a "free reign" when clearly "clicking" with a girl....

I suspect you're right about a lot of performers not watching porn, although I think it's also true of some producers / directors / editors too

To some extent it's not surprising ... it does take the edge off your hard-on a little, when you're looking at camera angles, lighting, editing transitions etc. rather than the action in front of the camera ) But that's why, for me as a consumer as well as a producer, the action has to have some passion that makes me forget all that other stuff.

I noticed the post from Jazz earlier on when I was re-reading this original thread. I can't say that I've seen him in action; the only recent Rocco movie that I've watched with Brits in is Rocco Ravishes Ibiza - was he in that? Working with Rocco is in itself not necessarily a recommendation - for every Manuel Ferrara or Nacho Vidal that he's groomed, there are half a dozen Kid Jamaicas who I have to watch with the ff button.

And I suspect the guys who don't get Rocco are the ones who are not themselves terribly successful with women

Again a very valid point. Some producers, directors and editors should watch alot of porn so that they can differentiate between good and bad porn. I know its subjective but the best porn is always when you can see what you bloody well bought it for in the first place...To see the essential body parts in action! There's far too much product I've seen where the girl was supposed to be having a length in her pussy or arse and I just couldnt see it. i thought it was a soft version!

I share this thought to. I usually find critics of Rocco prefer their sex with women a bit more vanilla, and for some, may not be that interested in sex really anyway. Its just another biological function to be dealt with in a perfunctory way. Each to their own I suppose.
