It as always been exploited by big money but by them making their films more commercial they flooded the UK making porn mainstream & ruining the market they hoped to create, since then it was downhill all the way as we chase our tails with internet sites.
Porn when it was under the counter was naughty & in demand...by making it legal & with over the top goverment restrictions people got used to lame mass produced porn, we could find loads of excuses for the decline of porn as every level blames each other & you have to make them right as they all have good arguments.

Sorry don't share your view on terminal decline.

I've been working on two anti piracy solutions both for online file sharing and hard copies.

If anyone wants more details don't hesitate to contact me at julian@ben-dover.biz

Both solutions cost nothing and if successful will bring compensation for owners of pirated content.

Sounds good, anything that will help has got to be a good thing.
It annoys me that people think they can jack stuff for free.
Take me as an example. I am a Metallica fan, always have been, always will be. Have I EVER ripped an illegal copy of one of their songs? NO.
Why?
Because I appreciate their time, talent and patience in creating something that appeals to me and that I want to listen to again and again. As a result I am more than happy to pay for their time in return for an shiny album all of my very own!
Pirates used to get hanged from a gibbet once upon a time, maybe we could bring that back.....?

My excuse is that pirating mp3s is shit compared to the fill bodied sound of a cd. If th emusic is worth having that is.

I think this also translates to porn. People want a quick fix and torrent sites for their quality is a quick fix and lets face it, a majority of people that use those sites would never pay for porn anyway.

So what does this mean?

Tube sites keep people obsessessed with sex, even if its for free. This means that is people crave harder things (because they do) then they will ultimately search for it and may well end up paying for it.

Well, not necessarily harder but say they like something in particular that they cannot get enough of they will ultimately seek it out from where it came.

There are still plenty people willing to pay for porn its just the market has divided so much as to who get that money from the customers which probably explains why niche pay sites are holding up better than generic porn sites.

Again regretfully Terry, you are probably wrong my friend. It's free - quality of the product in it's form or it's subject matter seems irrelevent now.

I agree with that Terry, John has had 3 copies of Avitar off his mate in 3 weeks as he wanted a DVD quality copy with menus before he sat down & watched it, he as just bought the Lord of the Rings on Blu Ray even though he has a special edition set on normal DVD so some people will go for the best quality they can.
Those that want free downloads to those who want the orginal hard copy (DVD/HD quality downloads) are very different, we have site members who still want a DVD copy of every film we do even though they are site members. Just wish there were more of them......

A good friend is making a 2010 version of Paris Tapes again this year.He made plenty out of the first and second one(in the era before B.Dover got going). However he's not 100% in the biz,but has his old contacts.I'll sell it as a high speed download on my secure servers. As an experiment, that;s one way to go.Steganography will prevent the film being reshown!
