I thought this model had real potential. She was new and as yet relatively unseen and I thought I could have brought out some good work from her.
But you're right - good models are the ones who advertise themselves well (and accurately) and then actually turn up.
I hear she's desperate for work now so maybe I'm not the only person she let down because she should have people queueing really.

She was relatively new but I know for a fact that nerves were not an issue for her.

The thing is that each time the reason was acceptable on it's own and I can't make up my mind whether the accumulation of reasonable excuses is enough to barr a model from working with me.

One BIG crappy reason would certainly do it for me but three genuine reasons might be just luck-of-the-draw.
