i agree its obviously a rare occurance as its never been reported before but i think its more about knowing ur own body and being educated on ALL risks arrising.

some peoples bodys tollerate more than others. thats why i dont go out to the states for example - cos my body wont physically keep up with the pace.
and u cant be expected to be born knowing everything so it takes people like cyrstel to share things like this to help others make an informed and educated decision about work.

what works for some doesnt work for others but as long as ur clued up when u go in thats what counts.
sometimes it takes learning the hard way i guess like poor crystel.

get well soon.

Claire I forgot to add - don't forget to drink Isotonic drinks during and after the shoot otherwise you can get pretty ill otherwise (or worse having read Crystel's post).

Another suggestion - why not try some glamour tv work. There seems to be plenty of stations crying out for pretty, bubbly girls.

Hiya Kaz,

Let's get that video of you and JJ encoded and done soon. Mail me as it was one of the hottest videos I have ever done. You both rocked in it.

Sandie and others may be right that this has not been reported before in relation to watersports BUT it certainly has in relation to severe illness and death due to ODing on water after taking ecstacy!

You can get drunk from drinking water (ie water intoxication) - the effects are very much like being drunk on spirits. For an "average" male it takes about 15-18 pints of water which have drunk somewhat faster than most people would drink lage/beer/cider etc - few people can force themselves to drink this fast and even fewer by accident.

The big problem with this otehwise cheap way of getting drunk is that it will almost certainly make you critically ill (as reported on here) and has a good chnace of killing you. You end up washing al sorts of important minerals out of the body (especially potassium that regulates heart activity etc), causes brain swelling as the water crosses into brain tissue that it normally doesn't (due to osmotic pressure) and kidney failure.

That said as long as you don't take it to extremes there should not be a problem for healthy people. All the tips on here seem good especially re small amounts of alcohol (or caffeine drinks) a shortwhile prior to wanting to deliver (and probably a flexible approach to the shoot so that when you gotta go you can). I have heard of people who are in to this as a fetish, rather than for shoots, taking either homeopathic, front-of-counter or even prescription anti-water-retention meds but this obvioulsy is much more risky.
