Nikoman... in response to your question. After working in several porn hotspots, I can tell you that, although most people here in the UK know that the performers who work in the USA use a common testing centre, AIM, however, I'm not sure how common the knowladge is that there is a public database, called
Labdat.com
and everyone who tests at AIM's centres has their blood tested in the same lab, and the details are put on a database of porn performer. The fact that everyone is forced to test in the same clinic, and then the results are made public, means that no-one can fake a test because it is possible to check the paperwork, against the lab report on the net, as long as you know the legal name of the actors.
In Hungary, most performers also use the same lab/clinic, and the clinic have a less advanced vetting system, but it's still better than here. The performers have their test results on paper, and they also have a little booklet that gets stamped with the clinics official stamp to confirm the results are valid.
All in all, it would bring the infection numbers down if we all clubbed together and arranged a similar system, however, geographically, and finacially, people can't agree on where to test.

Due to me spending a few days a month in an NHS hospital (sort of an experience thing, not actually working but studying physiotherapy) I've often had the task of helping out in the GUM department (only paperwork mind!).
The reason I brought up escorting as a problem is for a few reasons. The first is the punter, and the second is the sex differences when it comes to picking up std's.
A girl could take a tour of the UK, pick a guy up in a nightclub, in every major town, have unprotected sex, and be 'unlucky' if she catches something. The average joe in a club, within the UK, is pretty clean.....thankfully! This isn't advice the GUM clinic would recommend of course.
Compare that with a girl who spends a week escorting without protection and she'll be 'lucky' to come out clean. This is because 90% of people with std's either work in the sex trade, or are punters of the sex trade. Look at the questionnaire in any GUM clinic, and the first one after your details is, "have you recently been paid, or paid for sex?" The risks of sleeping with punters, for an escort, are astronomically higher than a guy/girl in a nightclub (unless you're the unlucky one who picks out a punter in a nightclub of course, but then you're just having a really bad fucking day ...lol!)
So my points weren't really about the number of possible ways an std can enter the industry, only the most probable ways.
Sadly for you lot, I could have genital warts, herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhoea right now, type in a certain website address and book myself a night with one of your colleagues. It's that easy. She could then turn up on set to work with you or Kenni on Monday morning. (don't worry, I don't have the inclination, money to spend, nor the diseases to worry you....you can sleep safely!).
Looking back at my posts it may seem that I am against escorting. I'd just like to clarify that this isn't the case at all. I'm only against pornstars flitting between the two when they have responsibilities to their friends in the industry.
At least you, Karlie and Kenni have been honest, and that tells me a lot about you, even if we may disagree on certain issues. I just want the performers to earn a living with the least possible risk to their health.

Anyone who accepts "bareback penetrative sex" from an escort is a complete moran.
I would only have bareback sex if I know my partner for a long time and was comfortable we were both safe.
With regard to oral sex, this is a little bit different as the statistics show that passing on HIV via unprotected sex is very very unlikely but other STI's can be passed on - such as those already mentioned.
I would hope no one is having unprotected full sex especially the day before a shoot.
In recent years, there has also been an increase in diseases such as TB and one has to wonder why this is. Is it due to diseases mutanting, migrant work force, lack of personal hygiene and lots of other reasons.
The best way to prevent the spread of any disease would be to make all shoots "condom" only unless the performers have taken their tests within seven days and been "locked down" so no sexual activity has taken place since the test.
This happening is about as unlikely as aliens landing tomorrow in 10, Downing Street.

With this concern in mind, british porn was going to have a similar process, but it never seemed to come to fruition, any1 know what happened to it ?

I totally agree, working in both Porn & Escorting is absolutely stupid. There is nothing wrong with Prostitution/Call Girls/Escorting, they have their uses, & prostition is 1 of the oldest professions, you just shouldn't mix the 2 occupations together.

I like the USA's way of dealing with this issue, they seem to have it all sussed. I know that it isn't 100$ safe, as the previous outbreaks have shown, but they know how to lock-down, restrict & control when it does.
No1 should be made at risk in this Industry, because of a few people who like to dabble in both fields of work.

Good afternoon Samsung,
I have noticed several comments by you directed at some of my industry friends and performers on a number of different threads in the past. I would ask you to please just check yourself and be sure of what you are implying when posting to me. I don?t know who you are but I am sure that your abrupt posts are not intended to be rude?
That being said, I am an open and honest guy and I thank you for your question. The answer is No.
No I would not
EVER knowingly work with, sleep with or even piss on the burning empty skull of any idiot that escorts/parties bareback with random un-certified and potentially un-healthy people. I didn?t assume you meant to patronise me but I had thought that my previous post made clear that I hold my own health and that of my fellow performers paramount.
I would like to emphasise the summary of my last post. We (directed to the performers) need to be as vigilant and educated as possible about the facts. Samsung, if you have any information you think I might need to know then please feel free to email me direct at
keni@kenistyles.co.uk.
Cheers,
Keni
Ps. Just some added sti and rumour prevention thoughts,
I do not submit to rumour, slander or gossip. Yes I watch, listen and observe but ultimately I am a man of my own mind and make my own decisions of a person. If I have any doubts or worries about any performer then I do what a lot of people seem to be forgetting to do. I will simply ask them directly, cut the crap, talk to me.
We cannot trace the activities of everyone and their partners, or even partners, partners. However, we can try our hardest to make sure of the legitimacy of each others certificates and even scrutinise each others test history, hopefully openly, willingly and professionally.
Here is a suggestion that I would like to make to my fellow performers, both super shaggers and newbie?s. In my opinion it might not fix everything and certainly wont prevent infection but it will give us knowledge and help us take a small step in the right direction.
Seems like a no brainer but go to smiths, get yourself a plastic folder and some wallets and start keeping hold of them damn certs that
YOU pay for! It will only cost a couple quid and it will pay you back in masses when it comes to reputation, recommendation and knowledge. I know a few performers who already do and that is great, I would like to see everyone doing it though. Even if you keep them at home, get them in a folder and bring em to work! Newbie?s, start out as you mean to go on and you will have a record of your whole career and if your not new then come on why not start saving them now?
Not only does it show that you are happy and willing to share your sexual history with the person you are about to get naked and be recorded having sex with. But it also shows the frequency of your tests, any possible hibernation period and also frequency of infection. It shows when you may have been unlucky and failed but it also shows when you have been clear and the consistency of it. We can all then use the past to help educate our future and you can make your own informed decision about whether or not the shoot can go ahead.
Now that I do not consider myself a porno recruit anymore. I feel that I am in a position to say that it is just bad manners, and completely without valid reason for performers not to have this information to hand. When I started I was honestly quite surprised to see people pulling out crumpled up pieces of paper from the purses and wallets and more importantly at the time I wasn?t worrying about the issues raised here but actually about what their genital hygiene was like if they cant even look after some piece of paper that cost them ?160!! lol!
Seriously though, funny stories aside. If this would become the norm as it certainly isn?t right now, then I for one would feel a whole lot happier and confident in with working with performers, particularly ones that I may not know or have met before. Don?t ever feel pressured or guilty when it comes to your health. If you don?t feel right about someone on set and you are not happy about what they may or may not be up to off camera then cancel the scene. Or don?t even take the booking in the first place, simple.
BGAFD: This is not a dig, rant or sly indirect, covert message to anyone in particular at all. This is simply a suggestion that I spent time writing so would appreciate being allowed publicity.
Thanks, Keni

I would just like to say that girls have been escorting for years without condoms, it just goes with the industry I am afraid, and if you believe other wise you live in fairy land.
Of course not every girl does, but many do.
I have been on jobs when condoms from the night before have fallen out of at least three different girls on set. So what the hell do you do then.
It seems obvious how and why this increase in stds though I will not name and shame.
The test for HIV began around 1994 in the uk, and over the last few years everyone has gone for all stds also.
However someone out there is fucking lying other wise no one would catch anything.
I have been one of the lucky bastards, for some reason my immune system is so high I have never caught anything in twenty years.
I have been on massive movies when the whole cast came down with some thing or other except me and one girl.
Perhaps some performers should look at what to do to keep their immune systems high. And not take every job, give their bodies a rest and take a little more pride in personal hygiene.
Keni I know I am following your thread, but this is not a dig at you in any way. But you are an actor on the circuit and many of the girls you may have worked with may not follow your example.

It may not actually be the case that STI's are on the increase but more probable that more are being diagnosed as more people are now being tested, years ago STI's were rife in the armed forces where a lot of the servicemen had unprotected sex with prostitutes in the UK and abroad and thats when the Umbrella was the main treatment but it still didnt stop them from going bareback, but i agree with Marino personal hygiene can play a big part in helping to reduce STI's as a lot of the working girls will go from one punter to another with just a quick wipeover with a wetwipe and i have known girls in the porn industry who have done three seperate hard shoots in one day with just a quick wipeover inbetween, you cant beat soap and water.
