Well people who know far more about oil exploration than either of us are not so convinced as you are
What is beyond doubt is that oil and gas incomes are:
1. Extremely volatile.
2. Salmond and the Scottish government have consistently overestimated the income they would be getting in previous years from oil revenues.

And I thought everything was going to be exactly the same according to Salmond - still using the pound, still have the Bank of England setting interest rates for Scotland and being the lender of last resort, still in the EU even though Salmond has been told that it is not possible to be in the EU and not have your own Central Bank, still with the QUeen, still with Corrie beamed in from the BBC?
Still with the same tax regime. After all Salmond has not used the tax powers he has had in the last 8 years preferring to blame Westminster for everything so I can't see him changing much. THe only tax he has promised to change is the corporation tax by reducing it. That should do wonders for the income to fund public spending!.
You will hardly notice the difference WIlliam after you have got over the celebratory hangover!! Except you will have to change your pound in 2016 into Scottish smackeroonies. Not sure what the exchange rate will be, but best to buy a wheelbarrow if you want to buy a pint! !wink!

Interesting that Mrs McSalmond is a spring chicken 77 year old? A marriage of convenience for a closet?

I can't imagine many English people will want to make that journey.

No indeed and as Dr Johnson asked what is the best thing to come out of Scotland? The road to England...
David J ? even if the Scots vote for independence, I'm pretty sure Coronation Street will not be transferring to the BBC.

And what if Sky decide to cancel their coverage of the lame excuse that is Scottish Fitba (or Oirish if you support The Tims). Setanta won't bail you out and BT aren't interested in toytown sport.
What is apparent is the amount of nationalist racism rearing its ugly head...English rule etc....you have your own parliament if I recall....

Despite what feeble governments say you can't be racist against other white people whatever their nationality...
