Glitters come back

Could be - I have deliberately not named him in any posts on this thread.
Re: Meatus
"Longmuir claimed he pleaded guilty in hope of avoiding a "media circus". In an interview in the Sunday Herald on 7 May 2000, Longmuir's foster son, Jorge Loureiro, claimed that Longmuir was innocent, and had been framed by an obsessed American fan he had befriended, with discs having been sent to his home anonymously days before he was arrested. Can you imagine? How unlucky was he??? Salt, pinch, large...some expression like that comes to mind."
Salt, pinch, large.... exactly considering the police confiscated his computer were child porn images were found. 22 Videos out of 153 seized contained Child Porn. Six Projector Reels contained Child Porn. And 1000's of images were recovered on the 73 Floppy Disks confiscated. That is some amount of bad luck that they were sent days before the search! And uploaded to his computer!

All without his knowledge!!! They must think we are stoopid. Like Gary Glitter's explanation from going to Vietnam "I read a book about the Mekong Delta. I thought that was Dan Dare's enemy...

"But it is someone you'd never guess in a million years. He's still alive and still working."
The he's alive and still working is leading me to a Lancashire conclusion!

Re: Meatus
Ah well i'm miles off and the fact as you quite rightly said it would get the site shut down and you would be sued means that there won't be a definitive yes or no and all this guessing will evolve at a snails pace i'll give up. Safe in the knowledge of another thing i don't know.

The funny thing is that Gary Glitter is reasonably intelligent. If I could ask him one question it would be "What possessed you to take a laptop to PC World knowing what it contained? You must have known they would have a nose around - as they would with any celeb."
The laptop cost ?4.5k but he was making a million quid a year from his Christmas shows so he wasn't short of a few bob. Chuck it away and buy a new one.
I assumed that there must be a network of paedophiles helping each other, helping with collections. However, I read a book about the computer forensic analyst who examined the laptop and testified in court. He said that while Gary Glitter logged on and downloaded thousands of images, he never received any from other paedophiles nor emailed any to other er "collectors".

I always thought this very strange to. And i've often wondered if the staff or any PC repair man is supposed to have a nose around anyway? Do the police ask for this? And if they didn't do they now? Though even if they don't i imagine that since the Glitter case and other convictions due to child porn being found on PC's that most IT guys, PC repair men or whoever will have a check around just incase.

I always thought this as well. Though again i've often wondered how supposed paedophile rings start? As in regards to myself if someone told me they were a paedophile and was i or would i like to be? Before i even contacted the authorities i'd give them a good beating. I just don't know how they find one another or start up their "ring". In the IT age ant the internet obviously that is a way to contact others, but before that, i guess you must have been taking your chances just mentioning it.

I don't think they are supposed to but who could resist? Whether it was Gary Glitter's or Brad Pitt's or even Jodie Marsh's you'd have a nose round.

Funny you should say that. I have been chatting to this woman on msn who wants to do some modelling. "She" logged in on Sat and I said hello. Turned out to be her husband who then put up a pic of his 10-year-old stepdaughter! I told him to remove it immediately. I was really annoyed but imagine if I was into kids... I wonder if she knows what a cunt she is married to?
