Hi,
Hey, it's funny that you mention it, but I remember I had a nasty rash for most of the early part of the year, but it cleared up completely after May 6th! Funny that.
In addition, I was really badly off financially until mid-May. Since then I have money everywhere I look!
And my gran had been in a wheelchair until she saw a picture of David Cameron kissing a baby in Blackpool and she has been able to walk ever since!!!!!

No. And what I now know about benefits in the UK, I have no desire to find out first hand.
How the fuck can you quote figures from 7 years ago and keep a straight face ?
By this question you only highlight your bias. Did you ask Max a similar question when he said "2.6m people on it [unemployment benefit] - I can't believe they are all unable to work."
The implication from Max, and throughout this thread is clear. Take the number of unemployed and use it to back up some hair-brained idea that there are millions screwing you out of your tax money. Some of my figures may be from 6 years ago but I DID MAKE THAT CLEAR. Max, and many people who rant about the unemployed/immigrants/single parents/anyone different to them don't actually delve a little deeper before spouting off. While, due to the recent recession, unemployment figures have risen, I haven't found anything that suggests the ratio of long-term to short-term unemployed has changed so drastically over the last 6 years that it would make my overall point useless.
I repeat, I made it clear the age of some of my figures (just the ones on the ratio of long-term to short-term unemployed were from 2004). The overall unemployment figures as well as the number of single-parents are up to date. It's not like I kept anything to myself in an attempt to hoodwink anybody, nor took a single headline and based my judgement on that like most do around here. So, to answer your question about how easy it was to keep a straight face: very easy.
If you have more up to date figures then please show me and I'll happily update my post. I'll think you'll find my point still stands, though.

You've seen the light David, finally you have seen the folly of your beliefs! Cast off the yoke of New Labour and come into the light!
