Spare a thought for Dando's colleagues, friends, family and ex-husband-to-be, eh chaps.

Far easier to pin the blame on the local oddball* than accept there may have been aspects to Dando's life they simply weren't aware of.

*an oddball skilled with modified guns and modified bullets, who calmly walks away with the lower half of his body spattered with blood? And if he was stalking he may not have been too good at it. The house at which the shooting took place was very rarely used by the presenter, so the killer was either prepared to wait on the slim chance she showed up, or knew she was going to be there at that time. The latter fits with the theory that she had arranged a meeting at the house.

Just a note on the fitted up theory.

Even George's defence team have stated that the police did not fit George up. There were no false confessions, no planted evidence, no pressure on witnesses, in fact no improper conduct by the police at all.

The original case relied greatly on the gunshot evidence, which the police happened to trust. Without that evidence, would they have even tried to build a case against George?

Even if he was a stalker & weirdo, you can't seem to grasp that this doesn't equate to him being a murderer. There's no evidence to convict and so there's nothing to justify him as being guilty of this crime.

Do you want to live in a society that locks people up on whims and conjecture?

The whole system of jury trials really needs to be scrapped, because they throw up some bizarre results. They'll let off terrorists, but fall for police propaganda in cases like this, when the only evidence is circumstantial or fabricated - and backed up by dubious experts. Three judges is a better way, and do away with the numpties who sit as members of the jury - most of whom couldn't understand the intricaties of a complicated case and are open to be brainwashed by a flashy case put to them, regardless of whether it has any real merit.
