M&S food is the best you will find from a supermarket.
Waitrose comes a distant second.
Then so distant that I can't even see them are Sainsburys, Tesco, ASDA.
The worst thing about Tesco is that they insist on destroying all other retailers by selling non-food goods as loss leaders, just to get the moronic public to get their weekly shop from them. They sell TV's, clothes, drugs, DVD's etc all at silly prices to forever destroy the independent retailer and turn the UK into one big fuck-off TESCO.
Shop somewhere else if you can, and if you get a chance support your loca independent retailers.

M&S food tastes better, they do a better buying job so thats why it costs a bit more. They have a team of quality control experts who do their job well. We shop just about everywhere including Lidl for Juice and few bit's n peices. Asda for some stuff as well. M&S gents clothes are top class, their suits are excellent including their dinner suits. I used to buy from Simsons but found out DAKS were making suits for both with M&S charging 200 quid less.
I do have an issue with their Cranberry Champane though.
