That says more about him, and you, than it does about the Germans.
As Warren points out, there is no one species called "Muslims." Shortly after the religion's prophet died, a schism developed, and the two sides (Sunni and Shia) have had their differences----quite often very bloody----since.
Their holy book, like ours, has the Old Testament as a major part. That is filled with contradictions, extreme violence, intolerance, hatred, misogyny. In order for mainstream christianity to function, theologians have had to repair the damage caused by the hateful old book, emphasising the more forgiving, loving tenets of the New Testament. In spite of all their efforts, any so-called Christian can be relied upon to quote one thing perfectly, "An eye for an eye . . . ."
Be spiritual by all means. But your belief structure should not involve the murder of others.

Well...
Ever since this terrorism malarky started.I get lots of people (mainly daily mail or sun readers) asking me about it (i'm not even muslim but they feel comftable dumping their baggage onto me ,but they wouldnt even dare ask a real muslim ) as they spout verbatim the daily rantings of these papers,to which my main question is......
Have you ever spoken to a muslim about this ?
And the answers always the same
no!
Maybe i could recommend better research about this situation (ie actual real muslims)rather than the caricatures that are paraded in the popular media and maybe we all could learn to diffuse the hate????

When will these dickheads realise they are merely attacking citizens, and are playing into the hands of the authorities they claim they want to harm?
The losers are us, 'here sir I don't want to blown up have some more of my civil rights'!

A very sensible post.
However, the quote below....
Have you ever spoken to a muslim about this ?
And the answers always the same
no!
....tells us as much about religion than it does the average daily mail reader! They haven't spoken to a Muslim because they'd get offended. To criticise your stance on New Labour, Global Warming, or the new smoking ban is a topic of conversation most of us would be comfortable debating - not so with religious belief and culture.
One thing you can do with a daily mail reader, and that is criticise and mock him/her! Religion is untouchable, and that is a bigger problem.

Reporting Scotland has just carried a piece where five young Muslims in Glasgow were discussing the attacks, and saying they feel just as much a target as anyone. An excellent piece, very well done.
But
All five had strong Glasgow accents, were obviously born here, and they and their families have managed to successfully integrate themselves into Scotland without losing important aspects of their own culture. These are not the people we have to worry about, and the terrorists and religious extremists would see them as part of the problem.
The nutters, like the more extreme types in christianity, don't want to go anywhere else. They want their view of the world here, everywhere---and now.

Welcome to the Big Time Messrs Salmond and Brown.
The IRA wouldn't touch Scotland in case they got a Celtic Fan by accident and that would have been bad for fund raising at Celtic matches........
Can't see this as Al Qaeda, too amateurish, their boys are very well trained.
Proud to see the man in the street get stuck in and support the Police. Hitler tried to bomb the shit out of Glasgow and failed so one car bomb will have zero impact.
Business as usual I think, Nil Carborundum Illegitimi.................
