One Eyed Jack your fighting a battle with covert BNP supporters.
"Why is it always a racist attack when a white man kills a black man."
This is the kind of rubbish the BNP spouts on their website.

It was most likely a bit of both
I've been in the company of White Fools who head out of a night with no intentions other than to get their fill of violence
White Morons hunting in a pack looking to give someone a good kicking and
as soon as the white thugs saw a black guy with 'one of their own' he became the target because of her IMHO
Inter-racial relationships always seem to offend some dickheads

I'm not afraid to talk to anyone Pretty Joe, least of all racists like the BNP. I've actually chatted to a couple of them in the past and not all of them are overly aggressive. True racists are plain and simple sociopaths who have no love for anyone, even themselves. They join ranks with people similar to themselves and form a group and share an ideology, elect an upstanding, intelligent and articulate spokesman who represents them and usually has an agenda of their own they would like their supporters help them achieve (remember Hitler everyone?). Did you know that Hitler didnt always hate Jews? It is interesting to read Mein Kampf which chronicles his reasoning and downward turn to the dark side.
Some so called racists are actually quite intelligent. It is dismissive and dangerous to generalise. Some have even put forward their ideas that generally they indicate to be pissed off for feeling like second class citizens in their own country.
Believe it or not, some black people I know understand. When the BNP won their seat in the Isle Of Dogs a decade or so ago for one of the reasons that asylum seekers and immigrants were getting priority on local housing, don't tell me you couldnt see what was coming.
Its one thing to be hospitable and another to feel like you are being taken the piss out of. This leaves a feeling of resentment in some and compounds the hatred in others. You can't control free thought.
For all of Hitlers intelligence, he was eventually consumed by the flames of his own hatred which ultimately led to his over confidence and his eventual downfall.
I use Hitler as an example since he has come to symbolise the kind of racism that embodies the ideology behind the BNP...And because I'm reading Mein Kampf at the moment.
In short, I am not fighting a battle with covert racists. Just telling it like it is...

Well said One Eyed;
I just think a lot of 'racists' fail to even understand when they are even being so. For example the 'Britian for the British' slogan used by another detestful group means what exactly??? Britian has always been and forever will be for the 'British' all those complaining about 'alien' part of the country
should take a look at Tenerife, Australia etc and wonder how the indigenous people feel there??
The point im making is this was a stone-cold racist attack. No argument. Hopefully the culprits will be found and brought to justice.

Its a bit of a joke when a small minority of the first Immigrants to Australia(whites) continually complain about the influx of more arrivals as if they don't contribute anything where in reality the opposite is true in the longer term.A migrant starting from scratch will nearly always do what ever it takes to prosper compared to a local who's family has been entrenched in comfort for generations
Nothing but Racism IMHO
The expectation that people from different countries & cultures are automatically going to become the same as yourself is pure stupidity IMHO
We either Tolerate each other or we perish because make no mistake we need each other

"Britian has always been and forever will be for the 'British' all those complaining about 'alien' part of the country

By the same token, and purely playing devils advocate you understand, it's a fair bet the indigenous people of Australia and America rule the day the English and Europeans ever trod foot on their soil. Surely that proves the anti immigration lots arguement for them?....
I'm unsure where I stand on all this. Generally I think of my self as non racist. I certainly wont stand for any of that nonesense in my presence, but then that stands for any sort of bullies, like most people I despise and detest bullies. That said my one love, one world, bob marley influenced, lets all love each other view of my youth has somewhat hardened as time has gone on, which I think is fairly natural, they say most people swap the idealism and naivity of youth for the bitter cynicism and realism of age and experience post the 24-30 mark. Most people get more right wing with age..apparantly. So I'm normal..I think!
Anyway my own view is that most multicultural societies have been a complete disasater. Yugoslavia, U.S.S.R, Rwanda ethnic divisions always persist and frequently lead to bloodbaths. They don't dissapear over time either...some groups have been fighting centuries. At same time though the world is getting a smaller place and people are going to infringe on other peoples space, especially when 90% of the world lives in poverty, whilst 10% have extreme wealth. Theres bound to be a flow of one into the other, unless that rich percentage seal their borders and protect them with force, which considering there wealth isn't homegrown and is built off that 90% they can never do, even if they were inclined to, which they are not. We live in a nuclear age too, we must never forget, so the whole world has to be an open stage everybody accountable, one rogue state is a threat to all.
So all that said, the multicultural society IS with us to stay and the real challange is learning to adapt to it. I have very close freindships with people from many different 'communities' and have rather enjoyed growing up in a multicultural soceity all in all.
That said my muslims freinds certainly differ from sikh, or carribean freinds in the undeniable fact they feel part of something 'bigger' in Islam, which is the no 1 priority of their lives. That's not to say most of them hate the west and Britian (though some do). But most of my muslims pals would rate their loyalties no1 Islam, no2 pakistan and no 3 Britian. Most of them supported Saddam Hussein unconditionaly, citing him as a 'muslim' brother...When I pointed out hes a member of the communist batthist party and has killed many muslims, so I couldnt see how, they still insisted he was a 'muslim' brother never the less. I think its probably the same way many of us would blindly support englishmen abroad....but that split loyalty is worrying and I do think we have a legitimate right to question it. Surely a multi cultural Britian can only work if everyone feels british before all else, and is loyal to britian before all else..or surely it is just a matter of time before Britian goes same way as the countries i mentioned above. We all need to be batting for same team, and I just don't see that, Britian seems to be going more and more the otherway a nation of individual split groups, largely pursuing their own agendas, and largely distrustful of eachother, and that can't be good. Where I live they are currently building an all muslim faith school...for 600 kids. These kids will be schooled totally seperate from whites and others...surely when thats was happening in South AFrica it was 'apartheid' and a very very bad thing...didnt wer all protest against it? Now we are told it promotes tolerence and ethnic diversity?? how exactly...isnt there enough division as it is?

A one religion school
Do you need reminding of the other one religion schools that already exist for Catholics,Protestants & Jews etc?
Its what happens in a Democratic Society that is the barometer by which
success or failure of multi-culturalism will be judged not by one religion schools
Given that the term Multi-Culturalism is a Western Term I don't think you can use examples from Eastern Europe & Africa to say its a failure because none of them were a Secular Democratic Society
Numerous cultures/traditions flourish without dominating because it all comes under the umbrella of Democracy in a Secular State
Sure you can site tensions between those of different races but there will always be a minority that will always use those of a different race or religion as a scapegoat for their own shortcomings.
I bet there were tensions between people before immigrants of different cultures started arriving,eh?
The fact that I can go about my daily business successfully, dealing with people who have completely different backgrounds says multi-culturalism works
You just need to look past the bad things committed by the FEW that get reported ad-nauseum by the Media

Prejudices, what prejudices?
" I was just putting the boot in the infuriating, middleclass, BBC, Guardian, agenda of always highlighting race, gender, third world and sexual orientation issues. They hype up problems where there are none and avoid areas where there are. Knobs."
Shall I add Chavs, speed cameras, anything in fact that interferes with Mr. Toad's headlong progress along the road in his very expensive motor.
As far you RudeBoy, still living up to your nick I see.

Speed Cameras!!!! So it's not acceptable/trendy/politically correct to detest these hideous devices? I've heard it all now!
All down to the "Steven Biko Hall" to weep for a speed camera that some fascists destroyed on the A12.
