I agree about Phil Collins, he was the bollocks of a drummer in Genesis. I never got to see Van Halen so can't comment about Alex, I would have loved to have seen Eddie Van Halen play...I even love the Sammy Hagar stuff!

One of Eddie Van Halen's original big influences was...Tony Iommi to take everthing full circle!

I know of the guy from Primus...I think his name is Les Claypool. He has a tattoo of that bass God Derek Smalls so he's a top bloke for that alone!

I can't argue with Geddy Lee, the guy is f**king sensational. The fact I forgot to big up Geezer Butler in my last post is criminal and I'm deeply ashamed!

I think Billy Sheehan is a worthy inclusion, and live, Rudy Sarzo is pretty amazing.

I saw a few shite US bands who's drummers were amazing, they beat the skins as though they were about to attack them, they were Eric Carr from Kiss and Tico Torres from Bon Jovi, I ONLY saw these cunts as an ex-girlfriend was REALLY into them, and it turned her on...........I liked being there when it happened.
Deep Purple drummer was Ian Paice.............average at best.

Tommy Aldridge was pretty awsome as well, but for me live was Topper Headon from The Clash............well known as the human Drum Machine

No one better than Stuart Hamm, usually tours with Satriani.

Seems to play one tune on the neck with his fingers, whilst playing anther with his plucking hand. Has to be seen to be believed.

The best bar none IMO is Joe Strummer.........he sang every song like he meant it, full of depth and emotion. Imagine Springsteen live, multiply it by 10 and your'e close
