You're right fevrd, I was thinking about this earlier on today and realised I'd made a huge cockup. I'd not read the text on their site properly, and so had misinterpreted it as 30% of all income gained through advertising on adultwork instead of just adultwork credit transfers. I would think that the girls on adultwork are paid cash in hand for any personal services they offer, and the site doesn't seem to demand a cut of that, so this guy isn't on ?90,000 per week after all.

As a consumer of porn not a webmaster then i would mostly go with what i see in front of me.

The general buying public dont really have a clue as to what alexa does or doesnt and to some extent neither do i.

I think that websites as whole make decent money if they are well maintained,have good webmasters, a decent affiliate program but most of all are updated religiously!

I remember being a member of some sites about a year ago and they were updated sparodically maybe once or twice a month that to me is taking the piss out of the punter imagine if you went to blockbuster and all they had month in month out was the same crap nothing new you wouldnt go back would you!

Just my tupence worth & this thread hasnt really shed any light on who are the big players maybe this forum turns a decent profit in advertsing????? who knows!

those observations about alexa are interesting, when I worked at Interclimax in Amsterdam their primo website hardly ever rated anything on there (www.camsathome.com) but we were turning over around 30 to 50 K a day and doing around 70 thousand unique's a day and that was 3 years ago, they are still doing similar amounts, and if you look at their rating on alexa it stinks...go figure...

In regards to adultwork owner not being on 90,000 - I would say he is in fact on more - the girls only receive income from galleries, movies, webcamming and sales on the site yes, but I know for a fact that these can add up to ?300 pounds a week per girl (without webcamming or sales) add to that the fact that because all purchases must be made in the invented currency of Adultwork Credits and once these are purchased getting them out again takes a fortnight means punters just constantly slosh these credits around the site - I would guess the owner is doing ?150,000 a week minimum. However to me the site is a huge court case waiting to happen, there are girls on there who are very debatably 16 let alone 18, anyone (including schoolies wanting money for alco-pops or whatever they drink) can upload stuff with no control and some of the movies include stuff like scat for which others have been prosecuted for producing in the UK. Also the girls are allowed to offer unprotected sex as an option on the adultwork do's/don'ts - lots of them are very much of the drug addled street Tom type and I am sure that offering bareback whilst knowing you have a fatal disease is now considered manslaughter in UK courts.

Do you really think anyone is going to reply telling you how much money they do or don't make. As you've seen, not one webmaster or producer has replied yet or will ! It's not your business to know the answer to the question.

Pub talk I'm afraid. Has anyone in the CPS told you they want to spend a lot of money on that? Has the owner of Adultwork told you that if they do seriously come after him he will fight a court case rather than just closing down?

I wouldn't have bothered to mention this but I've found out that there are at least some girls out there who take the proposition seriously.
