Scott i think people are attracted to a variety of porn and not necessarily just hot chicks getting it. Thats what makes this topic of condom use a difficult one to answer.

Its not producers that think it wont sell but a lot of consumers have been equally outspoken. then there are a lot of performers who dont want condoms because its difficult to work with etc

The Wickeds and Vivids make a lot of their money by cable/ satellite companies in hotel rooms but their dvd sales only make residual income (so ive ben told but feel free to prove me wrong if you can)

I have never seen Cate Harrington / Harmony Hex so i can't comment but any amateur film watcher would have seen one of our films, if people didn't like my films i wouldn't be sitting top of Glamour Finder for 18 months so i think its safe to say 'hot air' in my other comment don't you?
The audience we aim at are normal guys,couples who think promoting condoms is great, we still get anal, d.p & all the other bits other films have & finish on cum shoots which is the main part of the film.
Pro & Amateur are poles apart but amateur use condoms for their safety & the fact Amateur has more popularity at the moment is simply on film merits not condoms.

Condom use definitely has its place in the porn biz Im not disputing that. I just dont think it will work for the business at large.

Bang Bros can get away with it for three strong reasons

1. The girls are usually exclusive to them
2. The girls are pretty and rarely go onto anythign else because no ne else can match the price theyve been paid
3. The reality aspect that by NOT using condoms the girls are tested and therefore ruins the illusion of her being a one off. the other 10 % are probabably regualr known names working in porn so therefore they are tested.

Im not totally against condom porn and thats why i prefer working with couples as Im tired of the lax attitudes i was facing when it came to working with people in the business and Kim, I love ya girl but amateurs are the biggest perpetrators of the no condom risk taking stuff as well. its just come to light that a certian guy coming into the business worked with a pro porn girl and wasnt even tested and she let him work with her bareback!!!! Christ on a bike riding up the Mersey!!!!

Then the bloke was asked by another producer why he didnt have a test because he saw a pic of her shaft deep in said porn girl (who has been around long enough to know better).

The more I hear and see incidents like this I feel this business is way over due for an HIV outbreak because of the stupidity of certain individuals and i can bet it will be someone who does get their tests becoming infected and i just dont get the point of condoms if people still do facials and cim and cum swapping!!!!

Maybe consumers would prefer condoms not be worn but if they did become mandatory I highly doubt any of them would stop watching purely on that basis

I think the consumers would revert to the plethora of non condom stuff that is still in circulation as condom porn will be seen as boring by all the people looking for that bit extra ie bareback.

A lo tof the psychological stuff wouldnt have the same effect with condoms. I mean how are guys like the Max Hardcores of this world supposed to be sick, twisted assholes and act like they care about the girls health?

Thats not my kind of porn mind but I trust you see my point that bareback porn is also part of the illusion of fantasy.

In fantasy no one ever gets stds and girls doing risky things is all part of that fantasy.

How could you make the use of condoms mandatory, you couldnt make it illegal to have sex without a condom it always has been and always will be a matter of choice.
