Well I reckon that crabs are the least of our worries in this industry. Afterall no one's ever died of crabs and considering most performers are shaved, the risk is minimal.
As the more serious S.T.I's are spread though body fluids, give me condom's every time. O.K,they may not be 100% reliable but I for one would rather be as safe as possible.
As rgb said, performers are expected to risk their lives for other folks entertainment. Some must obviously think it's worth the risk but I for one don't.

Most amateurs tend to use condoms (well the ones with grey matter that is), the Pro producers use a large number of amateurs as they see them as a cheaper alternative but with bareback come great risks to these people.
I do private/pose to order films & have done for 12 years & have never once caught an STD, you have to be crazy to do bareback & until the UK come in line with France & a lot of the US where they now use condoms the risk of more STD's will increase.
I agree everyone should have certs but they should also use condoms as one with out the other is a bit half cocked, i don't think amateurs & pro stars should work together as they are totally different worlds & yes they are both at risks from each other for their own reasons.
To get these two together under set rules is impossible even though it would be the best thing in reality.
I know lots of amateur girls who use condoms & have certs but when they do bareback others (amateur circuit) avoid using them including me as they are a risk, both sides need to be more responsible & when the myth condoms spoil films is realised & every amateur as up to date certs things will change for the best.

Totally agree Kim,

Both Condoms & certs for everyone (pro & amature) is the way forward and how it should be.

Masie, i wish and hope you have a speedy recovery.
The points you have listed are spot on. Infact there seems to be a sensible streak running through this post.

I'd like to point a finger of blame at another party in all this. The production companys. If they did a shoot without checking for certs to begin with, well theres no excuse to this. Yes they may have invested time and effort in making a shoot, but it shows a huge lack of respect to everyone. Why do it????

Yes i have made comments on another post, that a shoot went ahead without certs being seen at the time, not seen and no condoms!!! Wonder who they worked with after??

And to the UKAP, they are on your site, they big it up in being a professional production team, your little group of producers seem to be, Money or Shag led. Okay not all, i hope, but i'm sure you'd all stick together. This shoot was the talk of many here on the coast and on other forums.

Respect peoples lives and health, even your own.

Captain Wow...We have a vested interest in people that work in our business. Are you referring to getting the message out there at large? or getting it out there within the performing community?

If its the latter we have found a more methodical way of getting peoples attention through Facebook and Myspace.

With all the negative attention UKAP has got from various individuals just reinforced our belief that we shouldnt be conducting business for the public to see because there are too many trouble makers that prefer to get in the way of progress.

Anyone is welcome to join the UKAP site and post on its forums. There are plenty of links regarding health, where to go etc on the site.

It is not our civic duty to preach the word to the world. there are plenty other people doing that already.

Furthermore can you elaborate as to what your point is?
