Not fair. As Dave points out - he's made many changes to his mags since he took over, and all the editors are always working harder and harder to try and find out what makes the punters tick. For example, contributing to this forum - on one hand we want to let you know about what Brit girls we've got in our mags so we can sell a few copies, but we also want to help promote the girls and the homegrown mag culture and let punters know which of their fave girls are coming up.
As for homogenising: When I launched SOHO, we did it with the aim of doing something brand new in terms of content and photography - with some success, as models and photographers love being in the mag as they think it looks the best. But many of you want to hark back to some golden age - well, you've got your back issues to pore over, we're trying to do new things, bring through new girls and snappers. Elton - if you were to edit Razzle and try to capture the essence of what it used to be, you and a few others might start to buy it again, but legions of new readers would think you were off your rocker and would turn elsewhere.

As usual I've posted a generalised comment without a real explanation
I was only commenting on the fact that whan Mayfair was sold
it lost its role as leader of the pack IMPO and became just another mag in the PR stable where the same barely legal photo shoots were bandied around. It lost its appeal forever IMHO
As they say there is no going back
Revolving the same sets through all his mags might have made good business sense but to someone like me who used to buy
4/5 mags at a time every month it got annoying so I dropped mags for the internet...end of story
I'm sure(without having bought a mag for at least 5 years)
that the mags on offer today are value for money.Maybe not as good as the original Mayfair but then IMPO that that was a once off mag but as with all of the adult industry at the moment there is too much of it...to many videos...too many magazines
saturation has been reached...IT NEEDS TO BE THINNED OUT
I'm sure in the end market forces will prevail
The cliche that less is more is so true...QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
cheers
