Re: UKAP
shame cornish Chris feels producers being involved in the action is making the industry worse. As that is the whole basis for my work, my style and why I do it. Although not aimed at me directly, I am one of those producers that Chris feels brings the industry down. I have been around for 5 years now and while not aslong as some, there wasnt as many producers/performers in the industry with there own website as there is now. However I do enjoy the performing I would lying if I didnt I have to say I have aways thought of this as a business, yes I could just be a performer but thats not what I want to do, or at least not for anyone else. I am trained in video editing and video production so that I must admit is my first love. However I am also young enough to give the performing a go, and have done for 5 years. I see this as a business and I wouldnt of took 3 years to build up my material without now return if it was just for the leg over.
I am starting to reep the rewards now thank god and its starting to pay off, however I love the style I shoot and love Gonzo/POv. I am making the porn I like to watch and not coz its cheapier or coz its easier to get into but because I feel its the best niche and always have and thats withut being a performer/producer.
I have never heard or even thought of it that way that being both may make a small group of people think that we are not helping things but making it so anyone can do it?
Interesting

Will do Terry..I love all this debate....the comment "it's going nowhere" is so negative, any response is positive, any crtisism is positive, and suggestion is positive, it shows us brits still have some passion about what we do.....rule Brittannia!

ahhh...Mr Bond...Where do you want it to go? It's too late Mr Bond....the porn world is doomed! you will be tied you to a lazer machine and have no one make sure you die, cos i am far too intelligent to think of just shooting you in the head! this will give you the chance to escape so you can post again......seriously...any reply is positive, any debate is a good debate, it shows that people are not the same....we need to cater for everyone.

Re: UKAP
Badly worded... I meant the Rocco stuff didn;t have the out and out misogynistic element of the Max Hardcore stuff... his stuff - well... that just repulses me personally. Having said that, some of the more extreme stuff (that maybe you could tag as misogynistic - such as the Rocco material) I do find compelling and strangely erotic... why? I dunno... but for me at least, the Rocco stuff isn't repulsive in the MH style. In one MH film I viewed he had the girl dressed as a YOUNG girl and he had her saying things to the camera about "my daddy this and my daddy that" whilst seriosuly violently face fucking and stragling her to the point that she was throwing up... That was repulsive - the Rocco stuff, by comparison was tame!

'In an ideal world, they'd introduce MH to "O'l Sparky" and leave the rest of us alone'
Hopefully you don't really mean you'd like it if Max Hardcore was electricuted in the electric chair, or do you?

Re: UKAP
Spanner mentioned the end consumer.... Shouldn't this panel also include a consumer/a few consumers? If you look at the composition of any serious panel they generally include "lay members" for those whom they serve - so I'd suggest that if UKAP really want to make a difference then the inclusion of a number of Performers and Consumers should be a requisite.

What a great idea Terry, so why dosnt everyone have a meet up at the Hilton on the Saturday of Erotica to have some beer and bollocks and an informal chat just like Jimslip said, after all that was how UKAP was concieved and you may recruit some worthy members or at least go away with some food for thought, either way its an excuse for a piss up and the people in the porn industry have always been good at that !drink! !wink!!thumbsup!

Planeterotica:
I honestly dont think UKAP is that serious that it has forgotten to have fun.
I know I havent. As for having people on the panel wwe are friends between us wit a wide variety of resources at our disposal.
The new pro active approach as in the network parties is all part of that.
I'm just surprised that people who are non members have no idea what is going on and that doesnt mean opening up the producers forum to make it a public forum.
If people have an opinion or criticism they would like a bunch of producers to answer to then they should really do it at the forum of such people.
You notice I'm the main one answering here? Thats probably because a lot of producers are looking and refusing to answer because they dont feel the blame should be laid at the door of UKAP when we dont represent the whole industry.
Also they dont need to. If their attention was wanted they would expect you would go to the correct place to do so.
So Donkeywork are you going to attend our next meeting then? See for yourself if its a bunch of blokes wearing monks habits doing strange rituals and dodgy hand shakes.
