It's just a typical production from the small minded, draconian (need I go on?) British media. Thank f*** I live in Holland where at least people are given the freedom to form their own opinions and make their own decisions.
Big respect to Jim, Violet, Autumn, Jayce etc for trying to put the industry's side across but ultimately it was always going to be an unfair fight. Come the revolution....
So what do you make of tonights tv show?

I didn't see the programme (sorry, I was out having a good time with Sandie Caine, Krissy and Heidi and forgot to set the video!), but it sounds as though it was one of those documentaries where the producers decide at the beginning what angle they're going to take, and then edit the film accordingly.

Re: So what do you make of tonights tv show?
Seemed to me the programme makers weren't quite sure what their editorial opinion was, so the focus shifted through the film.
By concentrating on the relationship between Jim and Violet the director may have hoped for some dominant behaviour by Jim over Violet. As was seen in the Leanne McQueen film with Dick Nasty and Max Hardcore. An attempt at influence was made at the German sex exhibition, when the directors tells Violet that she doesn't have to perform at the show (Violet was upset because she had just started her period). To her credit, Violet explains that she is a professional and the show must go on.
The nature of Jim's films always meant that the programme would have a downmarket feel. A layby on the A23 does not compare favourably with Bora Bora or Venezuela.
It was a real shame that no-one asked the question why is Porn another British Industry suffering a lack of investment.
Comparisons could have been drawn with the mainstream film industry. Certainly the implication that Autumn was performing for her train fare and Violet getting ?100 for a days work gave a cheap feel.
Compare this with the pair's visit to Hans Moser's Spanish Villa. If the British industry had a level playing field then Violet and Jim could have been in the property next door!

Re: For those who missed it..
From the initial dead-pan tone of the interviewer I knew that this programme would attempt to show the women as confused and abused, and the men as in positions of power, more concerned with 'units' shifted than the welfare of the women involved - or as ugly letches, but it felt like you'd given them a lot of material to work with.
I came away wanting to find a way of letting you know that (some) blokes are OK, that a sports fuck aint love, and fucking is but part of a bigger picture of social communication, respect, exploration...
There may be/have been 'good days' but Violet it seems like something went badly wrong in your early programming re unconditional love - a day of fucking doesn't equal love it equals attention.
I wanted to send this to you privately but I noticed that your given email address is jim@....
I really hope you work it out but I have the feeling that you're gonna need to take a *big* break from the biz, and find someone who gives you that unconditional love, who loves you for the honey that you are not for what you bring or give them. Hypnotherapy seems less appropriate than the counsel of mates/sisters or counselling itself.
Stay strong...

never mix business + personal ?
Assuming Jim knows what's what (which is a pretty safe bet by all
accounts)........
1)He knew how they were likely to be portrayed ie.not very
flattering.
2)He knew he'd probably shift a few more units as a result.
Quite why Violet works without a contract for loose change in
the hope of becoming a "star" is harder to fathom (if indeed
that was correct)
She clearly likes Jim a lot which is great, but I would have liked
to have known what Jims' plan was for her.
Can V work for other producers-most notably in the States for
instance ?
Personal considerations aside, would she be better off freelance?
In short, J I could understand,V I was struggling with (as much as she was with herself)
More thoughts.....
I agree with a lot of posts.
I felt from the show that one felt pity for Jim & Violet. I felt the show was too short, and would have found it more interesting to have seen more than one show. It was not clear the realationship between Jim and Violet. I was not sure if they were lovers or workers. It seemed a strange relationship. I know many who do 'porn' and most are happy couples, but these two seemed in 'pain'.
I would say that this in many ways is the best I have seen Jim and Violet on TV (TV shows, ie Trishia), as other times they just come on TV and boast a bit. I feel one saw the real people.
I must say, I am not sure if porn is right for eather of them, as they did not seem happy doing it.
I do hope both of them well.
My feelings are that, Violet would be better off from not working with Jim, as I feel that they are too close (as lovers) to work together in this way. I feel that the way they are now, is that they are in a 24 hour world of porn. It would be a strain on anyone to work or be involved with work 24 hours. You need to be able to seperate porn life from your real life. Otherwise you loose a lot of your life.
I do work in porn, but when I come home, I leave that side of me to one side, and live as a 'normall' boring persen for the rest of the time, ie walk the dog, garden and so on. If I did porn 24 hours I think I too would feel like Violet.
I am not sure how well it made Autumn look in the show, as she looked a bit plump, and a bit 'tacky' (no offence meant), but good luck to her. I say this as I would be interested if it got her work or lost her work?
I am sure that the show would not have lost Violet S any work, and would think she would get lots of photoshoots.
If Violet S is reading this, my advise would be to do more photo fetish shoots, as I bet she would look great doing fetish shoots (pvc, rubber and so on), and would think she would earn far more doing this.I hope things go well for her (as I am sure they will). By the way, I thought she looked very pretty when she was not made up (I think she had no, or very little makeup on).

Re: More thoughts (part 2)
I would also question if the makers of the film did want to make them look bad.
I say this, as to be honest no one looked 'bad' out of it. It felt that the camera had gone in for a week or so, but at the time both Jim & Violet seemed to bbe going through a bad patch.
I did not see all of it (I missed the odd min or so), but no one asked questions such as "why do porn?" as I have head other shows ask wich is aimed at making the girls look like they have no choice and the chaps look sleazy.
OK, Jim, did not look great from it, but I never felt he was made to look sleavy, rather just 'sad'.
CH4 and 5 have done shows about UK porn, and most of these are cheafull and rude. This was the first time I have seen a show done this way.
Lets face it, scence one, was of Jim, in his car, saying that he was having a bad time with Violett, so from the start it was not a happy film. The chap on the film did not seem to have put words into Jims or Violets mouth.
Lets face it, if you had gone in with a carea, could you have made this look better, I do not think so.
If both Jim and Violett had been in a good mood, this would have been a different film.
