"Any publicity is good but some don't realise that"

A good product needs only CLEVER publicity because it's good.

An average product needs all publicity!

brebear.

I think you are asking why did they pay?

OK. They used material belonging to me in the documentary without my authority.

I sent them an invoice for unauthorised usage, stating that the fee was for the images used on the first broadcast. I also stated that I would not allow my images to be used in further broadcasts of that documentary.

We eventually came to an agreement. I asked for, and got more than I would normally have invoiced for because I was hacked off at the way I was portrayed in that docu. Betty TV knew full well where the model was going, why she was going there and the model knew the fee being paid, I had spoken to her the day before.

It hacked me off that they came to the train station, I got a text message asking if it was ok if she was 10 minutes late as Betty TV needed footage, but, hey, this is a free country for the time being, so they had every right to be at the train station. But they were filming their own material in time I was paying the model.

Joe A has said that he and Sahara has 'spent quality time off camera with the Director/producer'. I am not, and I suppose I will never be in that position. For personal reasons I will never go into, I did not want to, and never will, willingly participate in any television documentary, porn or otherwise.

I do not know Betty TV's reasons for doing what they did, it has never been explained to me. If they ever want to, they can tell me, but I feel justified in writing this. What they did to me was less than professional and it has made it clear to me that these companies will go to any lengths to get what they want.

I have an email from Sophy Walker, head of production of Betty TV, and I quote 'I apologise for this situation and assure you that this is not our usual business practice.'

It would be interesting if they were to publish their usual business practice, I think it would make for interesting reading.

Bloke you sound like a well rounded producer with a great and clear approach to the adult industry and even better you know where the boundries are between good taste and fools fodder TV.

Just when you think the industry is being taken over by diam fool idjiots, it's great to know there are still propa blokes out there.

Thanks Bill,
I am actually still waiting for my property to be returned to me from Betty TV. I might have to invoice them for that if I do not get it back soon.
Let's see. I want to buy a holiday home on Rhodes in Greece. How much do they come in at?

James...

The reason we spent time off camera with the crew was because we're all in central London and Sahara was one of those featured. I think if Frankie had been down here, then she may have been in a similar position :)

Joe...
You are lucky then. I was not even afforded the courtesy of being told they were using my photographs in that programme.

"it certainly has not hurt bendover or anna span?"

Anna is always portrayed in a very good light so she is either an incredible buisness person with savy or she just chooses which docs to be part of very carefully to maximize her product.

The only time's I've seen Ben he's been commenting about the industry but again he works the angle well and Phill & Kathy Barry always come out pretty good.

Of course any publicity is good publicity as I'm sure David Blunkitt, Kate Moss, Michael Barrymore and the ultimate now fluent German speaking Garry Glitter (who wants to be in his gang) will tell you?

Is Gary still the leader of the gang?

At the end of the day tv has to show a negative a positive and a conflict thats what makes good tv. sex sells and if you are going to be a part of a show then you must know all the outcomes and not complain
its that simple
