As I understand it, the thread is about Branson, not Crow.
Branson and his ilk are all in the same single business. They care nothing about moving trains, planes, boats, motor omnibuses or automobiles, nor about making shoes, ploughs, butter, or knickers.
Their, (Branson and his ilk), business is conveyancing, conveying the money from customers' wallets and purses into shareholders' bank accounts. As the money is on that journey, they cream off a substantial amount for their own personal aggrandisement and power. In their world the shareholder is king, and customers are merely a business asset. The business itself is just a vehicle for their conveyancing activities.
If they fail in the business of conveyancing and therefore fail to increase their shareholders' bank accounts, they get the chop. This failure is often rewarded by a **bonus** of an astronomical 'Golden Handshake'.
To make life easier for this class of people, workers were forced into the compulsory holding of bank accounts just to be able to receive their wages. It was a Tory government that assassinated the Truck Acts, and removed workers' right to demand wages in cash. Now they, the Tory classes, are stealthily and periodically introducing the idea that free banking has to go.
So, in the future, workers are likely to have to pay for the privilege of collecting their wages.
